"We actually stayed here two weekends in a row. Had such a good experience dealing with Timothy, that we made a last minute plan to come back. I see returning to rent from him in the future.
The upgraded kitchen is quite nice. Though everything is "efficiency" sized, the appliances and fixtures are new and quite nice.
The furniture in the living/dining area is quite nice.
The first floor apartment is a real plus at the Mountain Lodge, both for convenience and because it's much cooler in the summer than the upper rooms.
Our only gripe is that we can't bring our dog. And that's nothing to do with this unit, it's a rule throughout the Mountain Lodge and most of the Snowshoe area.
Another thing about the Mountain Lodge, which is more weird than anything; They don't give you dish soap. They give you just about everything else you might need, including paper towels and dishwasher detergent. But if you want to hand wash something like a pot or your coffee mug, you'd better bring your own Palmolive!"

"I stayed in ML188 during the month of June and was beyond pleased! The views of the mountains from the porch were amazing and watching the sunrise was absolutely beautiful! The condo was cozy, clean and had everything I needed for my 3 night stay. The thermostats are not adjustable so it did get a bit stuffy at night but I turned on the ceiling fan and was good to go. Would definitely stay again, very easy to book and check in/out of the Lodge."

"Stayed for 3 nights over the Thanksgiving weekend as our daughter was on duty at Shepherdstown University and we wouldn't miss Thanksgiving with her! The owners were great at corresponding with me and answering any questions I had prior to our stay! When we arrived, we were amazed at how clean and tastefully decorated the cottage was - absolutely beautiful! We felt right at home and the kitchen was completely stocked for a much needed cup of coffee after the 2 hour drive in the snow! We brought our own food, of course, but forgot to bring creamer/sugar and there it was! Loved all the books in the cottage as we are avid readers! The property is gorgeous and their gift of homemade honey (from their own beehives) is the best I have ever had! We had a fun night at the Charlestown Casino and then Thanksgiving dinner at the Bavarian Inn. Had extended family also in town and we all gathered at the cottage after Thanksgiving dinner to watch movies and have some wine! It fit the five of us perfectly for our three nights and had plenty of room for our extended family to comfortably hang out with us for movie night. We also brought a Thanksgiving dinner we had cooked the day before we came out and there was plenty of room in the refrigerator for it and plenty of pots/pans/utensils, etc. to warm it up and have our leftovers throughout our stay! We went to Antietam Battlefield on Friday (a big hit with my teenage nephew and 9 year old niece) and our daughter was our "tour guide." That evening, we went to Shepherdstown for the annual tree lighting at McMurran Hall and the festivities (roasted chestnuts/hot chocolate/bonfire/Mr. and Mrs. Claus/the Grinch)! The kids had a ball, us adults did, too! ;) I can't say enough about the owners and the cottage - perfect in every way and our stay was absolutely wonderful. I will be returning and already have family members (aunts/uncles) interested in coming out to stay at your beautiful cottage and explore Shepherdstown and all of its history and beauty. Keith and Tari, thank you so very much for your hospitality and sharing your beautiful cottage with us! We will be returning!"

"Stayed here in the summer for a mountain biking trip. Nice having 2 showers and plenty of space. Stocked well with dishes etc. We grilled out at the fire pit which was well kept. Clean and laid back place. Will be staying here again next year."
