Great Location and Perfect Set-Up for a Large Group Stay on the Mountain
"We had a group of 13 staying for a long weekend at Snowshoe for skiing/snowboarding and other winter fun! We had plenty of space for our group and the convenience/amenities provided by this unit definitely contributed to the success of our weekend. We loved the ski/snowboard room at the back of the house, just by the entrance to the slopes. Having this space conveniently located by the back door, where we could get all suited up and ready to go without having to track snow/ice through the rest of the house, was outstanding! The hot tub was a great amenity and we cooked a big pasta dinner in the kitchen. The garage had been converted to a large room with 4 bunk beds, a sofa and tv with PS3 - this was the perfect room for the single guys on our trip, but I can imagine it would be a great room for teenagers travelling with a family as well. The downstairs even had a full bathroom with a shower which meant the guys didn't have to walk up 2 flights of stairs to get to a shower. The only complaint to our stay was that the hot tub was only around 55degrees when we arrived so it took until the 2nd day before it was warm enough to use."

"Very pleasant weekend stay at this well outfitted cabin off Simoda Rd. best part was coffee & scones on the porch in the morning. Wi-fi was a blessing, as no Verizon cell service in that section of WV. You must do breakfast @ Gateway Restaurant, just down the mountain. Great pie there as well. These mountains are, to use an overused term, awesome."

"We were in Elkins for our son's wedding. The family all stayed at this home on the river while in Elkins. It was absolutely perfect! The house fit our needs perfectly. It was comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. The kitchen was great to cook in and we enjoyed the outdoor barbeque. We loved the decks to relax on with our morning coffee. We had a few fires in the out door fire pit and spent lots of time enjoying the river. Loved the fact that there were fun water toys to use and the kids enjoyed the horse shoe pit. We did a little site seeing but so enjoyed the restful atmosphere at the house that we were content to just stay there! Loved everything about it and would definitely return!"
