Great location, excellent value, everything we needed
"We stayed for a long weekend of spring skiing in March with two kids under 10. This was the first time we'd stayed in Mountain Lodge and the first time I'd used VRBO, and I was very satisfied with both. Easy access to the top of the Ballhooter lift, and also easy access to the village. Right across the street from the provisions store and the pool. The building showed a free movie every night, which the kids liked. The room was comfortable, including the sofa bed which I slept on. The owner was very responsive to the reservation request and to emails, and returned the deposit promptly. I definitely intend to stay here again in the future!"

"Condo was clean and enough room for 2 adults with 4 kids. Bathrooms were nice, kitchen can use some updating but worked well for what we needed. Could use some storage containers for food perhaps but we managed. Washer/Dryer was a nice bonus to have. Had a great four days there for spring skiing."

"I have stayed so many places at Snowshoe with my 3 kids and this so fat is the best! But this time I had 4 kids + 2 adults and it was perfect. The place has been nicely upgraded (better than I have experienced in Alleghany, Rimfire and Powder Monkey by far)! We had plenty of room for the 4 teens and the living area was perfect for a crowd with two couches and a loveseat. Dining was easy between the large table and bar, and the kitchen was fully stocked. I cooked for 6 several times and wanted for nothing.
Walking up to the Village was very close and easy in street shoes. Kids could safely go alone. The stairs were a bit challenging in ski boots but a shuttle came by very often so we hopped on that as needed.
For the price, you won't find a more spacious upgraded place at Snowshoe. The owner was soooo nice throughout the entire process and we were so thankful for the flexible late checkout on the last day to fit in a hearty Junction breakfast and a few more runs.
Look for us again, for sure!!!!"

"We had a great time at Top of the Ridge cabin. We stayed at this secluded place for 3 days and it was a large gathering. Firstly, I would like to start with the owner. Scott was very helpful answering all the questions I had. We must have exchanged about 20 emails and he replied to them all. ;) The whole deal with directions, house keys and accommodation was made so simple! Oh and the information packet he sent was really, well, informational.
We reached late in the night, so the first time I was really wow'd by the place was when I looked around the place in the morning. The view is incredible!
The place has everything, the kitchen is fully loaded, the entertainment stuff is awesome - it's more than anyone could use! The beds are comfortable and the baths are clean and spacious. We had to work on our laptops for a bit on one of the days - the internet supported many laptops and mobiles connected without major issues. We played corn hole, pool, table tennis and soccer outside.
The patio is great. The view is awesome from here. There's a fireplace and an outdoor grill. We pretty much spent most the 3 nights here! We'd have loved for the hot tub to be on the patio, but there's too many fun stuff about the place apart from that.
We visited Whitaker falls and Blackwater falls, our main intention was to spend as much time as possible in the cabin. We did see a couple of bears on Knob Drive on our way back, no big deal!
We would love to visit the place again. Thank you Scott!"
