"Very pleasant weekend stay at this well outfitted cabin off Simoda Rd. best part was coffee & scones on the porch in the morning. Wi-fi was a blessing, as no Verizon cell service in that section of WV. You must do breakfast @ Gateway Restaurant, just down the mountain. Great pie there as well. These mountains are, to use an overused term, awesome."

Fantastic cabin, great location - cannot recommend enough!
"I can't say enough good things about our stay here. My wife and I stayed this past weekend with two friends and our dogs. From the moment we walked in until the time we left, the cabin and the location exceeded our expectations.
The cabin was very clean and much more spacious than expected. This is essentially a two bedroom cabin, with the loft room just having stair access and no door. However, it is still private and has a half bathroom as well. With four adults and two dogs, we never felt cramped at all.
Kitchen was perfect and extremely well stocked, having everything we could possibly need for dinner. There is a fire pit on the left side of the house, as well as another down by the river. There was firewood both by the house and also by the fire pit on the river front.
River access is a few hundred feet across the road, more or less directly in front of the house. We swam and put tubes / rafts into the water here with ease. Hard to explain how fantastic it was to stay here when we could literally get into the water anytime we wanted, then be back inside within a matter of minutes.
Also, lots of folks saying there's no internet / phone access, but all of us we were able to get service out on the deck and down on the river (we have AT&T).
If you're reading this wondering whether or not your should stay, definitely do. Bob (the owner) was great to deal with, everything was even better than described and the price can't be beat. We will definitely be returning as soon as possible!"

"We will definitely be coming back to Snowshoe and will try to get this condo. The first floor location was centrally located in the building so it was easy to get everywhere. It was right next to the Village restaurants and shops. The condo was immaculate and I felt like I was home."

"Our family of 22 enjoyed the ponderosa lodge. The weather was a bit unpredictable but we had a wonderful time in the lodge, playing cards, ping pong, air hockey and board games. The front porch was great for us to gather when the rains came. We all enjoyed the spacious kitchen and dining room. Ken, Joreen and Liam were wonderful hosts and directed us to nearby parks and recommended great trails for us to hike.
Our little boys really liked the baby chicks they got to hold.
It was a beautiful area of West Virginia. Thanks"
