"8 of us just spent the weekend at Laurel Creek Retreat. There was plenty of room and it was very comfortable. The house was above and beyond our expectations. It was clean and had everything you could ask for and more. We loved just hanging out on the porch or in the yard playing corn hole but it was also very convenient to many activities, stores, etc. We are already talking about staying here or Lynn's Pond House next summer!! We would recommend this place to anyone without hesitation."

"My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Husky's Hideaway (we called it "Beagle's Hideaway" for our stay as our senior beagle was travelling with us) over Labor Day weekend. The cabin is unique, cozy, clean, wonderfully secluded, and well stocked - including dog treats! We kind of want a cabin just like it. Berkeley Springs is very close but we only ventured there one day. We went for a walk, grilled out, read books, played games, and mostly we relaxed. The master bedroom bed is comfortable and we slept well. We did not use the other bedroom or loft at all. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and the grill even had a charcoal chimney for ease-of-lighting. I cannot comment on the water access as the path looked too steep for me with a blind dog and we did not bother to look for the easier way around - it wasn't important to us. Maybe next time. Mai-Li was really a joy to work with for reservations. I would recommend this cabin for anyone."

"My wife, son and I stayed for several nights. We loved the cabin. It has everything we needed and then some! The hot tub looks west at sunset, which is great. The fireplace was wonderful for cold West VA nights. And, the place is more or less centrally located in the valley, so it was easy to drive to Davis or south to head to Seneca Rocks, and is super close to the State Park (like 5 minutes). My son liked watching the cows across way in the morning, and the area for him to play outside was huge. And the owner was great. The one problem we had was a user error my wife made on the gas fireplace; the owner responded to a text within minutes, and it was fixed the next morning while we were out. He was wonderful."

"I have stayed so many places at Snowshoe with my 3 kids and this so fat is the best! But this time I had 4 kids + 2 adults and it was perfect. The place has been nicely upgraded (better than I have experienced in Alleghany, Rimfire and Powder Monkey by far)! We had plenty of room for the 4 teens and the living area was perfect for a crowd with two couches and a loveseat. Dining was easy between the large table and bar, and the kitchen was fully stocked. I cooked for 6 several times and wanted for nothing.
Walking up to the Village was very close and easy in street shoes. Kids could safely go alone. The stairs were a bit challenging in ski boots but a shuttle came by very often so we hopped on that as needed.
For the price, you won't find a more spacious upgraded place at Snowshoe. The owner was soooo nice throughout the entire process and we were so thankful for the flexible late checkout on the last day to fit in a hearty Junction breakfast and a few more runs.
Look for us again, for sure!!!!"
