"Located in the midst of a breathtaking natural scene, Iona Cabin has everything that you could possibly dream of whether in or outside the cabin!
The cabin itself is very cozy, yet spacious and designed to your utmost comfort, enjoyment and serenity. The owners have taken care of all the little details, making your stay inside the cabin more comfortable than you could imagine. All the rooms have windows bringing the all the colourful tree leaves and flowers right in front of every one of them! You’ll literally open your eyes in the morning to the beauty of nature right inside your bedroom!
The owners have bird food houses and humming bird attractants generously scattered on the deck! So whether you’re inside the cabin looking through the large windows from the living/dining areas or outside on the deck, you’d have all these different colourful birds and squirrels roaming around you! A humming bird paid us a couple of visits too!
Once you step foot outside the cabin, more beauty unravels. Do remember to lie down on this perfectly located hammock right next to the fire pit and gaze at the surrounding trees and the clear sky. Then change your direction to the opposite side and let your eyes feed on the breathtaking deeper forest view! You can hear all the different sounds of nature and wildlife, as you lie there totally carefree and detached from all of life’s hassles. It’s just an overwhelming experience!
And when you need to step outside of the Iona Haven to buy something or visit the nearby rivers for fishing, drive slowly to further indulge in more of nature’s beauty and give way to the deer crossing the street. My girlfriend and I saw 5 deer in 1 day!
We spent 2 nights at the Iona Cabin and we just didn’t want to leave! I wish that I could have taken time off work and made this a 10-day stay. There is so much more that we wanted to do and explore!
I could honestly say that no pictures, reviews or descriptions can do justice to Iona Cabin! You just need to be there and experience this piece of heaven yourself."

"We recently stayed in the Powderidge unit. It was excellent! The location is right on the ski out so very easy to come and go to the unit throughout the day. Great to avoid the long lines at lunch in the village! You could roll out of bed and be on the slopes in 15 minutes.
The rooms were great! We stayed in the "master" and the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was adequate. We had a family of 4 stay in the bunk bed room. The kids loved the bunk beds (they had to take turns sleeping on the top) and it was nice to have everyone together in the same room. We did use the pull-out couch and it was comfortable. Wifi was available and pretty fast!
The kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans. There were enough dishes and glasses to have an army over (great, great, great!)! The dishwasher made cleaning up easy. There was more than enough storage space to keep all the food necessary for a long weekend.
Only caution - the entryway is tile and can be slippery in your ski gear. So, quickly change into a pair of slippers and get ready to sit by the warm fire.
This is an excellent unit in an excellent location. Definitely will be a return customer!"

"Having never been to Snowshoe before this trip it was hard to choose a place to stay. We made a terrific choice with this condo though. We loved that this condo gave us the opportunity to walk right out and ski. It also looks out right at this major lift which makes it fun to watch skiers (kind of like a beach front condo). It was a much better view than the parking lot on the other side of the Mountain Lodge. We brought all of our own food and cooked it in the well-equiped kitchen. (I would definitely suggest bringing all of your food as the grocery store in town is expensive - unless you like to eat out.) Sleeping arrangements were great too - my husband and I took the bedroom and our teenage daughters took the sleeper sofa. The wifi is only usable in the bedroom area, but wasn't too much of an inconvenience because we were skiing most of the time. We got our security deposit back in a timely manner and the owners were easy to deal with for all arrangements."

"It was our first trip to the cabin. How to describe it? - a unique and charming cabin with a large porch and unbelievable view... We enjoyed every minute of our vacation. The cabin is located on 18 acres so it is very quiet and peaceful. We loved picking apples and blueberries (right in front of the cabin), relaxing on the porch and near the fire pit, hiking in the woods... And there are so much more to enjoy! The cabin is very roomy and has everything for you to feel home away from home. Oh, and don't forget to check the restaurant in Helvetia village - the most delicious food, the friendliest people, and a very cozy atmosphere!"
