  • Perfect for our family

"We took a multigenerational family vacation and everyone had plenty of room to spend time together as well as spend time alone. The place is very well appointed and the location was perfect for our trip. We have skiers of varying abilities, so being within walking distance of the Western Territories was an unexpected bonus. Thank you, we plan on returning."

  • Fantastic trip to Snowshoe

"We just got back from our trip to Snowshoe and couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. Wabasso 15 was perfect for our two families (4 adults, 5 kids). Plenty of room, and proximity to the slopes and the village was great. The owner was very helpful answering questions leading up to our stay, and the entire process of checking in and out was simple and easy. Would definitely recommend this unit to anyone heading to Snowshoe."

  • Clean, Decent Place to Stay

"This unit is a nice, clean third floor condo with a great view of the slopes and very convenient to the slopes (truly ski in and ski out) as well as the restaurants/shops in the Snowshoe Village Center. The convenience to everything is what makes this unit nice. If you are going to ski from sun-up to sun-down then this place is for you. You should know that the Mountain Lodge is a very tired looking (and feeling) place, kind of worn out and out dated, so isn't the best of you want to spend your time lounging. The internet is also horrible - we didn't care because we didn't go to Snowshoe to surf the internet - but if you are looking to do any kind of work or stay connected while you are there, you will need to go down to the common areas (lobby) to do it. Also, while there is a pool nearby, it is not connected to the building, and use of the pool is NOT included in what you pay. We were told it would cost $20 extra to pay for the pool. So the pool is not included in this price. If we had to do it again we would look elsewhere, but for the price and for what we were after (non-stop skiing) then this place worked fine and was very clean and in good condition."

  • Wonderful stay.

"Our family very much enjoyed our second stay at Fazenda! Only problem was that the week went by too fast."

West Virginia Travel Tips

Seasons to Travel to West Virginia Cabins

West Virginia has four distinct seasons and residents often boast that each season is more beautiful than the last. The valleys and low-lying areas tend to have a milder climate with cool winters and pleasant summers. The central parts of the state and more mountainous regions are generally more temperate. If you want to spend your time in the outdoors then summer and autumn are the best seasons to visit. The longer days and warmer weather provide ideal opportunities to enjoy your favorite sports. In general, the most popular time of year for visitors is during the months of July and August. If it is snow that you are looking for then you may need to wait until December and after the first snowfalls have cast their white blanket on Canaan Valley vacation rentals. The ski season generally runs from December through April, depending on the weather conditions. The peak season for skiing is during December and January.
