  • amazing stay and hope to return

"I had never rented a cabin or house and this was my first experience. It was a piece of cake and I at moments thought that I was doing something wrong because it was so simple but it worked out amazing. The house is awesome and the views are magnificent. I was blown away by the house when I first walked in. The pictures honestly do not do it justice. The rooms are big and cozy, the living room is ample for any get together, the sound system around the house was clear and quite reaching. The hot tub really allowed us to relax. The house is far enough to feel like you are actually out in the wilderness but close enough to any comforts to not be worried of anything being out of your reach from restaurants to stores. We rented this cabin to go skiing in Winterplace and although it is about an hours drive away, we would do it and plan on coming back next winter. I would easily recommend this property to anyone who wants to get away for a bit. Hopefully I will be back next year!"

  • reunion group for ladies weekend out - church musicians

"This house was awesome! Everything about it was amazing from the interior decorations to every picture, plaque, etc on the wall. A favorite was the tree inside with the bears in the tree and the monkey rug that was in-bedded in the floor. You can tell that much thought went into the decoration of the home and for the five of us it was extra special because of the religious memorabilia all of the yard and house that connected us to the owners in a very special way. We felt honored to be the last guests in this house and really didn't want to leave. We enjoyed our time of fellowship sitting in the amazing living rooms both upstairs and downstairs, on the wrap around porch, and the amazing area down by the river. We took our guitar down there and just sang the night away one evening. It was so very relaxing so we thank you for creating this atmosphere. We were totally impressed on how well stocked the kitchen was being that we brought all our meals and cooked every night. I can go on and on about the house but bottom line is awesome and thank you for opening and sharing your home with us. As for day activities, we enjoyed white water rafting and hiking. Everything was so convenient and only about a half hour drive at most to do any activities."

  • Beautiful and Relaxing

"We had such a wonderful time here. Larisa was a sweetheart to communicate with. We lacked for nothing in the house.....she had thought of EVERYTHING. The weather was perfect and the temps were very comfortable in the house. The road in was, surprisingly, easy to navigate. There was work on the road one day and we had to take the back road out to Elkins (yes, there is another way in!) and, though a little rougher, was easy to navigate as well and a beautiful drive. We would come back here in a heartbeat!"

West Virginia Travel Tips

Seasons to Travel to West Virginia Cabins

West Virginia has four distinct seasons and residents often boast that each season is more beautiful than the last. The valleys and low-lying areas tend to have a milder climate with cool winters and pleasant summers. The central parts of the state and more mountainous regions are generally more temperate.
