  • Great cabin for a large group

"We had a reunion of high school friends for the weekend, and the chalet was perfect! We even had a baby and a pregnant lady who report that the sounds of the large group were pretty muffled in the furthest back rooms. Having two different spaces for socializing was great. We were here in the winter, so only used the hot tub outside, but the porch (including the screened-in section) looked like a wonderful place to sit in nicer weather. And we did take advantage of the big yard to play some football, and walked in the woods on the property. I highly recommend it!"

  • Great place

"Went with friends, had a good time. The cabin was beautiful inside and the scene from the back deck was very beautiful. The owners already had everything we'd need there. Wish we could have stayed longer."

  • Perfect

"This is the perfect place to stay! Location was excellent! We traveled with a 7 yr old with special needs. The gradual ramp and no stairs at the entrance was perfect for him. I think we picked a great time to come also. We pretty much had the entire resort to ourselves. Meeting new people is always nice, but it was a welcome change to just kick back and relax. It met all our needs. Family consisting of my husband and I and our 3 adult children and daughter in law. Also 3 grandchildren 7, 5 and 9 month's. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us! Hayden the 5 yr old keeps begging to go back to the "vacation house". I'm sure if the other two could talk they would be begging to come back as well. This was approximately our 15th trip to the area, but by far the best accommodations! Thanks again! We will be back!"

  • Great location with a very responsive and friendly owner.

"The location was great, with a shuttle stop right by the entrance way to Leatherbark. Nevertheless, the walk over to the main village was approximately 5-8 minutes (basically to the Starbucks). I would definitely recommend staying here, even though at first, I was hesitant and skeptical because of the payment method, but was reassured by the number of positive reviews and the responsiveness and helpfulness of the owner, Tandy. The place has 2 floors with the master bedroom downstairs and a room upstairs with the queen and two twin beds; and right outside of the upstairs bedroom is a pull-out sofa bed. My only recommendation would be to place the sofa bed downstairs in the living room, because it really restricted the movements of the people inside the upstairs bedroom. Either way, the unit was terrific and would have fit 8 people just fine, but we ended up with only 7 of us. Additionally, being our 2nd season at Snowshoe, we highly recommend people stay somewhere on top of the resort area, because we made the mistake one time last year by staying off the resort area, at a house off the mountain, bad idea. The ease and convenience of staying on the mountain top resort vicinity will easily be worth the cost of staying there versus off the mountain, given the probability of running into bad weather conditions, hence turning driving conditions into a nightmare (just be warned). Anyways, the unit was great and we would definitely like to stay again; and we highly recommend this unit. Tandy, thanks again for everything!"
