  • Great Place to Stay!

"We recently stayed in this unit with our two boys and their families--there were ten of us. The four cousins ages 8,6,6, and almost 4 loved the bunk bedroom. The three adult couples were very comfortable in the other bedrooms. Loved that all of us could eat together at the large table which was also good for game playing. The large living room was a great gathering place. We were amazed at how well the place was stocked--there was every pot, pan, dish and utensil you could possible want. We have rented a number of houses for our family outings , many of them high-end, all over the country and none has been as well stocked as Shamrock 77. LeEllen was extremely helpful and great to work with. We would definitely stay here again."

  • Beautiful Home......Amazing Owner!

"Myself, my husband and another couple stayed at this beautiful historic home for a weekend of adventure. We arrived Friday evening to a very clean and comfortable home. The amount of detail that the owner has poured into this home is amazing. Once you enter you can tell how much she loves this house and you cannot help but to love it too. The yard and pool are also very well maintained and we were sad that we did not get a chance to take advantage of the pool. This location was perfect if you plan on tubing or checking out the horse races.....or just relaxing. The extra touches, like the yummy chocolate chip cookies and filled fridge, makes the stay even more enjoyable. Thank you Joyce for everything- we do look forward to coming back again!"

  • Great Getaway!

"We had a great time here. The location is great right next to the slopes. The room was beautiful. It was nice, quiet and equipment for our needs. I loved the fact it had fans, alarm clocks, and kitchen utensils. Any cons I saw was the tv in the first bedroom is very fuzzy I think the cord from cable needs replaced. The wifi is horrible but on mountain I guess it couldn't be that great. If there was a broom I would have swept the kitchen. But over all it was very enjoyable:)"

  • Beautiful Cabin and Surrounding area

"The cabin was very clean and had eveything you would need, the decor was a cute bear theme. Hap and Rhona gave us advise to points of interest and directions, they and everyone we met in the area were so friendly! Had a great view from our deck where we spotted a Bald Eagle as well as down in Smoke Hole area a must see area along with Blackwater Falls and Spruce Knob. There is a book in the cabin called " A Place Called Smoke Hole", about the people and area that goes way back, a very good read you can get a copy in Franklin at the Library. We just had a great time relaxing and exploring the area and taking in the breathtaking views, also pet friendly our little dogs Gismo and Shadow loved it to. Mike and Vicky Hiles"
