  • Wonder Cozy Ski Cabin

"We spent 3 days here in early March and skied at Timberline and Canaan Valley. The cabin was the highlight of our trip. It is outstandingly well furnished and very well stocked with everything we could have needed. The cabin is beautifully furnished with lots of personal touches. The hot tub on the deck was wonderful after a day of skiing! The internet worked fine. Cell phone service was sketchy at the cabin. We found access to both ski areas easy from this location, and the cabin is very private with a lovely woodsy setting. Adam was wonderful about responding to any need and very responsive to our making reservations at "the last minute". He was also very prompt on return of the damage deposit. We would definitely choose to stay here again when we return to this area summer or winter! Thanks for a wonderful stay!"

  • Loved everything about this condo!

"My husband and I, and another couple, rented this condo for a late season ski vacation and enjoyed everything about our experience. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. We appreciated that each couple had their own bathroom. The kitchen was beautiful and had plenty of room for cooking big meals. All of the features, including fireplace, washer/dryer, ski in/out, stereo with CD collection, separate entryway ski storage and much more made our stay very enjoyable. Bill was great to work with. He made everything easy - from securing the rental, to paying, to checking in and checking out. He even accommodated a late check out on our last day. A note to future renters: Be sure to pack some basic kitchen supplies like foil, baggies, tupperware, coffee filters, etc. because they aren't provided. Otherwise, we had everything else we needed."

  • Very Pleasantly Surprised

"When we started looking for a place to go for our anniversary we only had a very limited list of must haves. One was someplace we could take our dogs, have a hot tub, and be away from a lot of people. We were blown away with how great this place was. It was very clean and well taken care of. It was very nice having an ice maker that could keep up. The newer kitchen appliances were great. The Cuisinart ice cream maker will definitely get used the next time. We hadn't even left and were planning our return trip! The directions were great for getting there too. Unfortunately for us we followed our GPS though and it was off a few houses and it took us in different from the directions. It was easily corrected though by driving just a little further down. We enjoyed the cat that came to visit from next door but she didn't seem to understand when why we wouldn't invite her in. We tried explaining that there were no cats allowed! She didn't seem to mind the dogs at all either. It was nice sitting in the hot tub and watching the deer go through the woods. I can't wait to go back again!"

  • Terrific Family Getaway

"This cabin is exactly as described! It's well located, cozy, clean and comfortable. The property manager sent us thorough and easy instructions for our pre-arrival, stay and departure. The kitchen was very functional and well stocked with everything we needed. The fireplace was great and the upstairs bedroom/loft was perfect for our boys (equipped with tv, dvd and gaming system). The cabin was very clean when we arrived and had plenty of space for 4 people + our dog (and dog crate). The Black Bear property and grounds are well maintained and an easy 10 minute drive to the Timberline ski area. The rental manager was also extremely accommodating and responsive to our emails and needs. I would highly recommend this property for a couple or family looking for a getaway with more space and amenities than a typical hotel."
