  • Wonderful week

"We just returned from a great, relaxing week of kayaking and fishing on the lake. We also used the cabin as a jumping off point for tubing in Harpers Ferry, cave exploring in Virginia, and sightseeing in Washington, DC. We would recommend this cabin to anyone, and look forward to visiting again."

  • Vacation Swap

"Stayed at this home in January 2014. The kitchen had all the amenities of home which definitely makes the difference. The heated garage was awesome, hot tub was soothing and the kids even enjoyed the sleds. This was the perfect size and it accommodated everyone nicely. The shuttle service was on time and picked us up right in front of the house. If you decide to stay here then make sure you bring corn or apples for the deer slough. They actually ate out of hands...really cool for even the grown ups. Do recommend 4 wheel drive."

  • Wonderful Stay At Sunset Mountain

"My husband and 2 golden retrievers had more than enough walks and runs on this beautiful property overlooking the mountains! We relaxed, enjoyed the scenery, drove into town (@ 12 miles!) and experienced nothing but peace and serenity during our stay! The house was clean and ready for our arrival! The ponds were perfect for the dogs without disturbing anyone! We will be going back next year to continue our yearly stay in WV but will be sure to bring DVD's this time as we realized too late that the VCR didnt work!LOL! So...we relaxed/prayed/listened to great music, and enjoyed the fire overlooking our scenery instead! Thank you for a perfect get-away and see you next year! Sincerely, The Hoffmans (Rehoboth Beach, DE)"

  • Wonderful Family Ski Chalet

"Let me start by saying that the home owner, Suzanne, was wonderful and easy to work with. That alone makes the vacation experience that much better. My family set out to find a house within walking distance of the slopes at Timberline. This chalet was perfect. We could walk down the hill and past the condos to the base of Salamander in about 60 seconds. Furthermore, we could ski down either Salamander or any combination of slopes from the top to White Out and walk down hill back to the house in the same 60 seconds. My 6 year old did not once complain about the distance and we made several trips to and from the house each day. In many cases, you couldn't park your car at the lodge and walk a shorter distance. Inside the house you will find a charming, unique design suitable for a small to mid size group. We had 4 adults, 1 child and an infant. We were very comfortable. The kitchen is the highlight of the house. It is beautiful and very functional. Our favorite touch was the sleigh used as a pan holder from the ceiling. Both the upstairs and downstairs living areas were very comfortable and the hot tub is a perfect end to a long day of skiing. There is also a separate ski entrance that has both inside and outside ski racks. It was nice being able to store our gear out of the way of everything else. Overall, our experience was top notch. I would certainly stay in this house again and absolutely recommend it to those looking for a great value that is nearly ski in/ski out. Todd W."
