"The cabin was a wonderful place to stay for a ski weekend with friends. We had a group of eight and everyone fit comfortably with room to spare. The cabin was clean, in great shape and had everything we needed. Being minutes from the slopes was a huge benefit and we would absolutely come back again."

"We got there after dark and had a hard time finding the place since we weren't given a map. The lock on the door took a bit to figure out- instructions would have been nice. The room was good space though the half bath and bunk beds were a bit tight. Wifi was good but couldn't quite figure out the TV remotes. Room was clean and water tasted good. Kitchen was complete. Would stay here again."

"We recently stayed in this unit for 9 nights and it was a wonderful experience! I would not hesitate to stay there again.
The condo was very clean with daily service and had tons of plates and silverware. Lots of stove items as well, but if you want to make something specific, I recommend bringing the tools along just in case :)
We invited my in-laws over for one of the weekends we were there, and the unit had more than enough room for the six of us and the 9 days-worth of food we brought with us. The rooms somehow managed to be spacious and have an abundance of storage, which was honestly my favorite part about this unit. One of the rooms is clearly a master bedroom, with a private full bath, while the other room is a bit smaller with a full bath attached to the hallway.
Location-wise, the condo itself is a little farther away from the ski-in/ski-out exit than other ML units, but that just meant that we didn't have to hear the CLUNK CLUNK from all the ski boots walking past our door, which was a big annoyance for us when we stayed in other units in ML. The unit is also on the first floor, and was close to one of the parking lot doors, making it really handy to get in and out for dinner etc.
Mountain Lodge itself is right at the Ballhooter lift, making it a GREAT place to start your Snowshoe skiing. The Village isn't too far away, and walking to the Village's shuttle stop (which gives you access to all of Snowshoe's locations) is easily do-able in ski boots.
The only negatives I can even think of were that one of the bedrooms shares a wall with the hallway and that can get a bit noisy if you want to sleep in, but as long as you keep your sleep schedule aligned with the quiet hours, that shouldn't be a problem. We didn't have any problems with people disrespecting the quiet hours :)"

"Stayed for 3 nights over the Thanksgiving weekend as our daughter was on duty at Shepherdstown University and we wouldn't miss Thanksgiving with her! The owners were great at corresponding with me and answering any questions I had prior to our stay! When we arrived, we were amazed at how clean and tastefully decorated the cottage was - absolutely beautiful! We felt right at home and the kitchen was completely stocked for a much needed cup of coffee after the 2 hour drive in the snow! We brought our own food, of course, but forgot to bring creamer/sugar and there it was! Loved all the books in the cottage as we are avid readers! The property is gorgeous and their gift of homemade honey (from their own beehives) is the best I have ever had! We had a fun night at the Charlestown Casino and then Thanksgiving dinner at the Bavarian Inn. Had extended family also in town and we all gathered at the cottage after Thanksgiving dinner to watch movies and have some wine! It fit the five of us perfectly for our three nights and had plenty of room for our extended family to comfortably hang out with us for movie night. We also brought a Thanksgiving dinner we had cooked the day before we came out and there was plenty of room in the refrigerator for it and plenty of pots/pans/utensils, etc. to warm it up and have our leftovers throughout our stay! We went to Antietam Battlefield on Friday (a big hit with my teenage nephew and 9 year old niece) and our daughter was our "tour guide." That evening, we went to Shepherdstown for the annual tree lighting at McMurran Hall and the festivities (roasted chestnuts/hot chocolate/bonfire/Mr. and Mrs. Claus/the Grinch)! The kids had a ball, us adults did, too! ;) I can't say enough about the owners and the cottage - perfect in every way and our stay was absolutely wonderful. I will be returning and already have family members (aunts/uncles) interested in coming out to stay at your beautiful cottage and explore Shepherdstown and all of its history and beauty. Keith and Tari, thank you so very much for your hospitality and sharing your beautiful cottage with us! We will be returning!"
