  • A restful, beautiful spot with all the amenities

"A beautiful, rustic old house--perfect for those who can appreciate the history of the place and the charms of an older building. Which is not to say that it is run down in the least--this is a beautifully appointed home with all the little details (Fiestaware plates, shampoo & conditioner in the bathroom, all linens--and nice ones--on hand) taken care of. It was also immaculately clean. The views are extraordinary and it's a quick jaunt into town for groceries, visiting the springs, or having a meal out. The owner was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Will be visiting again."

  • Spring skiing in Snowshoe

"We had an absolute blast. The condo we stayed in was great. Very clean, had wifi, balcony, fully-stocked kitchen and a nice view. The Mountain Lodge building is a bit dated and could use some renovating but we were really impressed with our actual condo unit. This town is great, we will be back and for longer next time."

  • Comfortable and Quiet!

"My family of four plus two friends stayed for four nights during a spring break ski trip. The two king beds and the very hot jacuzzi / hot tub were the highlights of the stay. The four of us that slept on the king beds loved it, the two in the pull out would have liked a more comfortable mattress. We made all of our meals in the kitchen, and relaxed in the couches and chairs to watch movies on the big screen, and enjoyed to hot tub. The advanced skiers could walk to the Soaring Eagle lift (or catch the short shuttle), while the beginners felt more comfortable driving or catching the shuttle to the main area. The elevators made it easy to bring luggage up and down. The ski storage room made it very easy to store skis and boots. We also had plenty of coat racks and closets to hang gear and store clothes. The bathrooms were nice as well. Overall we were really pleased with our stay! Dave was very quick to respond to emails and refund the deposit, plus the door code (vs key) made it easy to walk right into the room after a long drive. We highly recommend this location!!"

  • Great Location and space!

"Having never been to Snowshoe before this trip it was hard to choose a place to stay. We made a terrific choice with this condo though. We loved that this condo gave us the opportunity to walk right out and ski. It also looks out right at this major lift which makes it fun to watch skiers (kind of like a beach front condo). It was a much better view than the parking lot on the other side of the Mountain Lodge. We brought all of our own food and cooked it in the well-equiped kitchen. (I would definitely suggest bringing all of your food as the grocery store in town is expensive - unless you like to eat out.) Sleeping arrangements were great too - my husband and I took the bedroom and our teenage daughters took the sleeper sofa. The wifi is only usable in the bedroom area, but wasn't too much of an inconvenience because we were skiing most of the time. We got our security deposit back in a timely manner and the owners were easy to deal with for all arrangements."

West Virginia Travel Tips

Seasons to Travel to West Virginia Cabins

West Virginia has four distinct seasons and residents often boast that each season is more beautiful than the last. The valleys and low-lying areas tend to have a milder climate with cool winters and pleasant summers. The central parts of the state and more mountainous regions are generally more temperate.
