  • Really Great Mountain Lodge Unit!

"We recently stayed in this unit for 9 nights and it was a wonderful experience! I would not hesitate to stay there again. The condo was very clean with daily service and had tons of plates and silverware. Lots of stove items as well, but if you want to make something specific, I recommend bringing the tools along just in case :) We invited my in-laws over for one of the weekends we were there, and the unit had more than enough room for the six of us and the 9 days-worth of food we brought with us. The rooms somehow managed to be spacious and have an abundance of storage, which was honestly my favorite part about this unit. One of the rooms is clearly a master bedroom, with a private full bath, while the other room is a bit smaller with a full bath attached to the hallway. Location-wise, the condo itself is a little farther away from the ski-in/ski-out exit than other ML units, but that just meant that we didn't have to hear the CLUNK CLUNK from all the ski boots walking past our door, which was a big annoyance for us when we stayed in other units in ML. The unit is also on the first floor, and was close to one of the parking lot doors, making it really handy to get in and out for dinner etc. Mountain Lodge itself is right at the Ballhooter lift, making it a GREAT place to start your Snowshoe skiing. The Village isn't too far away, and walking to the Village's shuttle stop (which gives you access to all of Snowshoe's locations) is easily do-able in ski boots. The only negatives I can even think of were that one of the bedrooms shares a wall with the hallway and that can get a bit noisy if you want to sleep in, but as long as you keep your sleep schedule aligned with the quiet hours, that shouldn't be a problem. We didn't have any problems with people disrespecting the quiet hours :)"

  • Absolutely Wonderful

"I have been on vacations all over the world but when we arrived at Lazy Days, we were excited at the location, the beautiful acreage that it sets on, the cabin whispering, come on it! When we did, we could not contain ourselves for all the "oh my goodness" exclaimed in every room! Truly neat, clean, very comfortable feeling from front room all the way back to the master bedroom! Oh, I failed to mention the king, pillow top mattress that slept like a dream! The kitchen appliances were top notch from large right down to the coffee pot! Where do you go that offers an ice cream maker, a crockpot, every kind of pot and pan imaginable! Fireplace and Hot tub!! Wow, wow, wow!! The wildlife was beautiful with deer just standing and staring! The owners emailing to give us the snow report and what to expect to include sending a snow shovel. Wonderful people to work with!! Can't sign off without mentioning the very generous start up of dish and laundry detergent, paper towels, starter log, toilet tissue and Kleenex tissue in every room, salt, pepper, sugar, and on and on! You won't believe this but a nice turkey roaster and beautiful platter for our Thanksgiving turkey. They also offered a nice bottle of wine in a bucket just begging to be chilled! Can't forget all the books, games and DVD's! Everything was awesome and had more to offer than any place we have ever stayed! Thank you Eric and Megan for such a beautiful week! We will come back soon!"

West Virginia Travel Tips

Seasons to Travel to West Virginia Cabins

West Virginia has four distinct seasons and residents often boast that each season is more beautiful than the last. The valleys and low-lying areas tend to have a milder climate with cool winters and pleasant summers. The central parts of the state and more mountainous regions are generally more temperate.
