  • Chalet with a view

"Private location, beautiful view, great amenities with games, hot tub and nicely furnished. 2 night stay and loved the sunrise view through the floor to ceiling windows in the great room. Never used the grill or fire pit but if a longer stay, these would have been great for camping in style with the comforts of home. Drive to property was very bumpy on dirt road. Needs to be maintained. Bedroom downstairs was too stuffy as no A/C, fan or screen in windows. Only screens found in windows were on the exterior doors leading into cabin and we didn't want to leave interior doors open while sleeping. Living room and loft had ceiling fans, making for comfort. Very close to ACE White water rafting resort which was our reason for travel and stay over long weekend. No Wifi but that could be a bonus to getting away from it all for pure nature loving and relaxation. Shanna & Paul have a great getaway and were very quick to return call with inquiries about property."

  • Very nice home!

"My hubby and I and our dog stayed here for six nights. We were very pleased! There is NOT a hot tub but that wasn't a big issue for us. The house was very clean and the bed was made when we arrived. The view from the deck is awesome, the master shower is huge, the master bedroom bed and big sectional in the great room are so comfy and the kitchen was very nice. We ate in the whole time we were there! The house sits on a quiet street where we walked our dog twice a day and we visited often with the very nice owner as he worked in the garage next door. Our stay was perfect! Thanks so much to Marti and her dad. We hope to come back again."

  • Terrific Family Getaway

"This cabin is exactly as described! It's well located, cozy, clean and comfortable. The property manager sent us thorough and easy instructions for our pre-arrival, stay and departure. The kitchen was very functional and well stocked with everything we needed. The fireplace was great and the upstairs bedroom/loft was perfect for our boys (equipped with tv, dvd and gaming system). The cabin was very clean when we arrived and had plenty of space for 4 people + our dog (and dog crate). The Black Bear property and grounds are well maintained and an easy 10 minute drive to the Timberline ski area. The rental manager was also extremely accommodating and responsive to our emails and needs. I would highly recommend this property for a couple or family looking for a getaway with more space and amenities than a typical hotel."

  • Wonderful house

"We had a fantastic stay in mid Feb. There were 3 families and we all fit comfortably. There is access to Cupp Run at the end of the street but if you call the shuttle it's usually there within 10 minutes. Taking the shuttle home is also very quick -- at the shuttle station just ask any bus driver to send a shuttle for South Westridge. The description is correct -- you really need 4WD for the driveway if there's snow. It's long and steep. We had to park at the bottom and carry all our things up. But the house is great and the views fantastic, so it's worth it!"
