"Absolutely the nicest owner who was so accommodating for our last minute family getaway. Home is a distance from main town areas and I highly recommend shopping in nearby Ripon for groceries and stuff you forgot to bring. Water shoes are a must, bring them or you will not be able to enjoy Green Lake. Also as they say Green Lake is very choppy, you must use the boat lift, so glad we were warned of all that ahead of time. Home is high on hill from the lake, it was a long walk and many stairs down to the dock. Our dog loved to swim, but had a hard time getting back up to the dock. Was looking for something in town to use as stairs to get to the water at the low end of the shore but didn't find anything. Kids would have liked that too, but jumping in worked fine.
As for the home itself, it was very comfortable. Three full bathrooms with four children was a blessing. There isn't a door on the lower level bedroom suite, it's privacy comes from that it's at the bottom of the stairs. There is a master bedroom upstairs as well as two bedrooms that were excellent for the children. We spent almost all of our time on the lake and outside in the big backyard. Kitchen was nicely appointed, lots of room on main level for us not to be on top of each other. Lots of deck space and the screened in porch was great for relaxing without misquitos. You can easily follow the rules laid out in the books, dishes done, bedding off, towels washed or started etc. everything was there to keep the place tidy and all of our stuff organized. I can see why this is a popular place to visit when the weather is beautiful. The sky at night off the back deck was amazing. Deer are everywhere there, drive slowly in and out. Would love to go again and again. Thanks for the wonderful family memories."

"We had 15 of us up at the house for 5 nights for my in laws' 50th anniversary celebration and had a great time!
+ Hot tub is huge and awesome and 4 feet deep at one end! We fit the whole crew in it and it kept the kids busy for days(!)
+ Games and the actual bar were great for adult lounging and even though several are coin-driven, it was still great fun. Didn't need to leave the house to feel like we were having a night out. Nothing like drinking too much out at the bar and then walking upstairs to bed :)
+ With 6 bedrooms and a million feet of deck, plus the semi-detached hot tub, even with 15 people, we kept losing folks around the house. Plenty of room to hang out.
+ Owners and caretaker were very nice and easy to work with
+ Lots of room for frisbee and the like on the yard
+ Constantly finding new widgets on the walls and ceiling to talk about
+ Within an hour of the Dells for a day trip
+Kitchen is well-stocked, but had no baking dishes. Bring yours. Fridge is a normal family size. We were concerned, with 15 people, but it worked out quite well
There aren't too many
+ Several amenities in the house will cost you extra $ if you want to use them--washing machine, electric coolers, games, bar ice maker, jukebox (although bring CDs, as there's a good stereo). I'd love to see a package deal put together for those charges with one $ charge. Or some sort of "pick two" for $X. I don't mind some extra fees for options, but hearing the "for an extra charge" so often during the booking process was off-putting. As it was, in 5 days we didn't pay for or need anything other than the slot machine
+ The upstairs screened deck is great, as each bedroom opens onto to it independently, but with the fall season starting, it had a lot of yellow jackets inside the screens. I'll let the owners know so they can check that.
+Grocery store is a 20 mile round trip. No fault of the house and totally navigable, but plan ahead."

"We had a great time at Green Lake. This nice little home provided everything we needed (although we weren't there much). Green Lake is a beautiful place and I had forgotten how much fun we have there. Can't wait to go back!"

"We gather each year for the past 15 years with 3 families plus grandparents. We've rented a lot of houses and are so pleased with the Rowley house. Our kids ages 6 - 11 were never bored, even on bad weather days. The house is very well maintained compared to other homes we have rented in the area. We will definitely be back!"
