  • Awesome lakefront cottage!

"My wife, two daughters and I rented Suite Retreat for our son's graduation from nearby Ripon College this past weekend. The cottage is modern, comfortable and well equipped. It has a terrific deck which looks out on beautiful Green Lake, and is a great home-base for walks through the upscale Lawsonia golf courses and estate home area. The property owner, Edie, was a pleasure to deal with and even called shortly after our arrival to see if we had any questions and make sure everything was to our satisfaction. While this property would be perfect for a full week's vacation or more, it worked really well for us for a graduation weekend. For the cost of much less than renting two rooms in a mediocre hotel or Green Lake resort, we were able to stay in an upscale, comfortable lake home. We highly recommend that other families traveling from out of state to Ripon College graduations or other events consider staying here."

  • Love this place

"We have stayed at this cabin two years in a row and expect to back in the future. We love the Waupaca area and this cabin is the right combination of getting away from it all and being comfortable and connected. The cabin is on the small, quiet, no-wake Lake Beasley. The lake is clear and great for swimming, kayaking, fishing and canoeing. It was great that two kayak's and two canoes were provided. The only negative to the property is that the shoreline is mucky. If you had small children that wanted to walk right in to the lake from the shore this place would not work. However, it does have a long pier with an attached floating raft that goes far enough into the lake that you can jump and swim right off the end and be in good water for swimming. There is a large area shown in the picture with a fire pit. We used it most nights. The cabin itself is certainly not luxurious, but has everything you really need. Including a tv with cable and internet access. Beds are comfy and each bedroom has a air conditioner/heater that when on can really heat/cool the entire cabin. We had to use the heater one night that got pretty chilly! We also love the Waupaca area. We have a favorite restaurant (The Wheelhouse), ice cream place (Scoopers) and we love to hike and bike in Hartman State Park which is basically across the road. The owners of this cabin also will consider pets, which is great. I think our dog had as much fun on vacation as we did. We just love sitting on the pier and drinking coffee in the morning and looking out over the lake. That is truly paradise to us."

  • An Enjoyable Spot for a Winter Getaway

"The cabin was very spacious and enjoyable for our group of nine, and there would've been plenty of room for additional people. It was nice that there were so many beds available and that no one had to sleep on the floor. Another extra bonus was the giant kitchen table- it was nice to all be able to sit together, eat, and play games while not feeling crowded! Since it isn't right on the lake, it's a nice spot for a winter getaway, but I could see wanting to be right on the water if it was summertime. I would say that the only minor downside was having to make sure that we brought all of the supplies needed for cleaning that were mentioned in the contract. (We definitely knew this beforehand, and we fully agreed to it, but after our stay, we all agreed that it would be nice if a few little things were provided, like hand soap in the bathrooms, toilet paper, trash bags, laundry detergent, etc...) Again, not a huge deal, but with a few of those supplies, it would've been a five star rating! All in all, though, a GREAT stay, and we were happy to have booked the cabin. With people meeting from the Twin Cities and Chicago, it was a nice meeting point."

  • Awesome Cottage!

"Awesome place to stay. Everything was clean, well decorated and stocked to make the perfect stay! Beds were very comfortable. Wrap around deck was so nice with comfortable chairs for sitting and looking out at the lake. We chose this cabin because it was close to the land we hunt for the spring turkey season. Plenty of space to store all of our gear and not have it be in the way. So much better than staying at a hotel. We were able to cook all of our meals and grill out. Plenty of pots, pans, dishes, etc., that were in great condition and clean! Nice to have a dishwasher! We rented a pontoon from someone that Mike had recommended with such ease. Lake is beautiful and easy to navigate around. Perfect size for kayak and canoes! Loved seeing the loons and fish being caught. Great size yard that was landscaped beautifully! Wished we could have stayed longer! Thank you Mike! We will be recommending your place to everyone we know looking for a cabin rental so centrally located! We look forward to next year!"
