  • Beautiful lake/area to retreat from work/home

"Our stay was a week in August with beautiful weather! We enjoyed the secluded house tucked close between two other homes but not visible because of vegetation - even the lakefront was secluded by willow trees...so nice! I have a picture of every sunset for our stay - every night we took a game break at 8pm to watch them. The sun room was much bigger than the picture and the carpet and furniture made it the perfect gathering place. Our 9 month old grandson was safe and happy to crawl around there. We have never had the luxury of a boat lift...but it made short fishing trips easy. August wasn't a month my husband expected to catch fish...but he caught enough to make it worthwhile and the little boys caught fish off the dock! We had a much needed vacation in a wonderful place! Thanks for sharing your home with us."

  • Quiet, Relaxing Vacation

"A very comfortable, well-stocked house in a great location. We loved the quiet! The neighbors were very nice and my 7-year-old spent a lot of time learning to ride a 2-wheeler on the quiet cul de sac. There is easy access to nearby towns with good farmers' markets. We spent two days tubing on the Wolf River (New London) and Crystal River (Waupaca). Although the water levels were low, we managed to get through each one. We had almost-perfect weather and saw lots of wildlife around the house (not including the geese!) – a doe and her fawn running through the yard, a painted turtle laying her eggs, and a little brown bat snoozing on our storm door one day (we timed it perfectly to see him wake up, stretch and take off). Our dogs enjoyed chasing the geese into the pond several times a day; after a few days, the geese learned. The owner is very accommodating and quick to respond. The caretaker next door, Jay, is friendly and helpful and so nice to have him next door. Thank you, Charlene, for a wonderful getaway! We'll be back someday."

  • Great Place to Stay

"We recently stayed for a birthday weekend for my brother. We had a great time staying at this rental. It had everything we needed and it was only 20 minutes from Granite Peak which is probably the best skiing in the Midwest. When we were not skiing we were able to relax and enjoy the game room and the hot tub. There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably! Would highly recommend this vacation rental to anyone from old to young. We are looking for a place to hold another gathering in the summer and this rental will definitely be in the running!"

  • Great spot for family gathering!

"My family booked this cabin for the Thanksgiving holiday. I would first like to state that these renters were wonderful to work with. We booked this cabin very last minute (only 3 days prior to check-in AND on a holiday) and they were able to accommodate us when no one else was willing! (We sent out many requests and they were the only ones who even got back to us). We were extremely grateful for that. Also, they provided us with check-in/check-out instructions that were very clear and easy to follow. We found the place with no problem, and it appears that Google maps has been updated because it led us right to the cabin. The cabin is a good 30+ minutes from the Dells, but we enjoyed the quiet surroundings and even saw wildlife right through the living room window! There is no Wi-Fi, but 4G phone data was 5 bars strong! The two teenagers didn't even complain. lol. I would disregard any negative comments you see in these reviews. The house was beautiful, spacious, and cozy in the right kind of way. Everything was just as advertised and there were no surprises. Yes, there is a bit of light cleaning at check-out, but the checklists are sent prior to booking so you know exactly what you are expected to do. We slept 8 adults and 6 kids very comfortably and the adults were very happy to have their own bedrooms with double beds! The kids loved the loft area and enjoyed having a sleep-over in the twin beds up there. We enjoyed the wood burning fireplace and board game selection! The kitchen is well stocked for feeding large crowds. We would definitely stay here again!!! The pictures don't do it justice! The place is just beautiful, come see for yourself! Thank you for sharing your home with us. We had such a lovely time."
