"house was more than excellent. family members met from south and central texas, and central florida. 11 family members; 6 adults and 5 children ages 20 months to 9 years gathered in green lake. house was large enough for families to have privacy and quiet and also excellent get together spaces. older adults had full downstairs suite. we could not have asked for a more pleasant and enjoyable place to get together. pool and hot tub were hit with kids and adults alike. house is walking distance to downtown and marina and right on the lake with a beautiful fire pit area for fun and smores! we hope that if the owner ever wants to sell they will call us first!!!!!! Oh and by the way we received our security deposit return before we even got home - WOW."

"This was our second time staying here - again we had a wonderful time. It is really on a wonderful lake, very private and quiet surroundings. Love that it's walking distance to mini golf :) A gas grill outdoors and a double/queen bed in the bedroom in the main house would be the two improvements I can recommend. Also nice the owners are pet friendly - hard to find with most Waupaca rentals. Hope to be back again in the next few years!"

"The short version .. nice home. Very accommodating owner.
We're a group of 10 guys who hold an annual "summit." Being all guys we need 10 beds or sleeping surfaces and this place fits the bill. Lots of beds. Lots of room.
The owner was very responsive and communicated with us via text. There is a fire pit and he checked in each day to see if we needed more wood. Also asked daily if everything was good and if we needed anything. (I liked that.)
The town of Markesan is a mile away and you can pick up food and liquor at the Piggly Wiggly. The area has more then enough golf courses. And being Wisconsin, there are plentiful choices of bars.
The reason I didnt give it 5 starts is that the kitchen utensils and chairs are showing some wear. (Like lots of wear.) But we still cooked and grilled and overall had a super time.
Thanks Paul and Dawn for offering up this wonderful home."

"My husband & I (and our dog, Roscoe) mixed business & pleasure and escaped to this wonderful little Piece of Heaven here on earth to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary and to facilitate his proximity to Bear Creek, WI. What a pleasant surprise awaited us at the end of quiet cul-de-sac in the quaint little town of Maniwa. The cottage is clean and has all of the amenities that you could ask for. Our first morning greeted us with a picture perfect sunrise over the pond, complete with a birder's-dream-come-true, as there were many species not normally seen, except during migration season. Next, we saw a hen turkey, who was tending to her daily routine of checking out the property. From the driveway to the end of Pond Street is 1 mile and Roscoe & I enjoyed daily walks through the pleasant neighborhood. On one of our day outings, the three of us went in search of cheese factories & found four in the immediate area. We couldn't decide on what to bring home for souvenirs, so we brought home a variety of cheeses to share with family & friends. The next day we walked the Sturgeon Trail & happened upon the St. Patrick's Day parade in New London. What fun!
I guess the long & short of it is that if you want to just stay put, the cottage certainly lends it's self to that. If you do like to explore, the cottage is perfectly situated for that, as well.
We found our stay much too short & hope to have the opportunity to return."
