  • Wonderful Stay!

"My family and I booked this as a family ice fishing trip. It exceeded our expectations! It was really nice and Steve and Patti were very accommodating and even allowed us to check in early, which let us drop all of our goods off before heading out on the lake Friday. The cabin was very clean and roomy! If we made a trip back to Lake Winnebago, we would definitely book again! Thanks Steve and Patti"

  • Our R & R Paradise...

"My wife and I were in need of some much deserved R&R and the House of Ten Rivers delivered! It satisfied everything we had hoped for: privacy, peace and quite, amazing Lake front location, beautiful sunrises, and a comfortable home. It didn't take long for us to decompress, as the weather was perfect so the house was open to the sound of the waves, which made for some great sleeping! We spent the majority of the time taking endless walks along the shoreline, followed by hours in our beach chairs next to the lake. The home has easy access to the beach/lake without the hassle of climbing flights of stairs. So hanging out at the beach was a breeze! We did pull ourselves away from our little piece of paradise and had some very good meals. In Two Rivers we recommend Kurtz's for great sandwiches and excellent German Beer. Also in Two Rivers is Waverly Inn Pizza, where we had some of the best pizza ever! Just down the road is the town of Manitowoc, and we had a great dinner at The Courthouse Pub. Green Bay is just a 30-40 minute drive and there is an excellent German eatery called the Lorelei. There are plenty of activities to indulge in (if you can pull yourself away from Lake front peace and quite), but other than our dinners out, we stayed put! The house itself is very comfortable and we especially like keeping the patio doors open at night and falling asleep to the sound of waves. Sunrises came early, but they were beautiful. The owners; Char and John, met us upon arrival and spent just the right amount of time making sure we got settled in and they were very accessible throughout the week. You can tell that they really I love their home! Regrets? Yes; we had to leave! Our week was a dream week and we will definitely return when it's time for more R&R!!"

  • Mary Opsal and family

"I just wanted to say thank you to you all for letting us rent for only one night to attend my father's funeral. We were greeted by a wonderful smelling and inviting home again. We didn't arrive until late but as always felt a warm welcome. There was a sympathy card for my family from the owners that made us feel so good. Thank you again as this has become our home away from home!"

  • Escape the craziness of work

"This is our third trip to the Oostburg-based beach; our first to this charming home. The home sits right on the lake and offers a wonderful escape from the craziness of work! In fact, expect to take a full break from work because hotspots and cell service are spotty without a road trip toward town! But, ask yourself, why work when the lake beckons you to slow down and enjoy the fruits of your labour? Each morning the lakeside patio invited us to sit with coffee and watch the morning unfold across the lake or walk the mile plus of sandy shoreline. The quaint kitchen and Weber grill on the patio offered sufficient tools to cook a meal or make appetizers for happy hour. Bring bicycles. Town is just a short, 3-mile trip west; Andrea Kohler State Park, 5.5 miles to the north. When you return, take one of the loungers down to the sand, and do nothing. Come nightfall, watch the stars move across the expansive sky then fall asleep in the European style master bedroom (two twin beds) listening to the waves. Insider Tips: Stay in touch with the owner. Ask for an early check-in (5:00pm is hardly enough time to get oriented and you pay for the entire day). And be prepared for the 10:00am required departure, which makes the end of your relaxing trip rushed."
