  • Nature Lovers

"We had a group of 13, 8 adults, 2 teens, and 3 between the ages of 2 and 5. There was plenty of room for all of us. Three nice full baths to use made it easy. We loved the large wrap around deck and all of the doors out to it from everywhere in the house. The huge island in the kitchen was fantastic for a group like ours along with the very well supplied kitchen. The yard was large and the walk to the beach was convenient. We had wonderful bike rides in the area and Green Bay, a salmon charter which gave us some delicious fish dinners, walks on the beach, toured the Manitowoc Maritime Museum and submarine, and spent a day hiking in Whitefish Dunes State Park. We had a wonderful time. I would have given five stars if we could have gotten in the water. That is one of the things we were looking forward to most but it was freezing! The view is gorgeous and all was enjoyed except for that one thing. Thank you Scott and Erika for sharing this home with us. We and our canine family enjoyed it very much!"

  • Great Vacation Rental!

"Our family and our extended family, 7 total, spent 7 days at The Blue Lagoon. The house was great. All the information listed for the rental was true. The house was updated, clean, and well-maintained. When we had a question Steve returned our call or came out right away. Having the 2nd bathroom and washer and dryer was awesome. The family fished in the morning and the spent the evening at Country USA. Fishing was good for walleye and bass and the boat launch was easily accessible. Off the dock they caught channel cat and bull head. We pulled out the boat each night and the property had a great space for the truck/boat and our other two cars. Loved having the ceiling fans in every room and having the air conditioners! Would definitely rent here again and will tell our friends about the house and experience."

  • Overall a nice stay

"Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The house was bigger than expected, over 5,000 sq ft for the family to spread out. Mind you, despite the substantial size there still are still only three actual bedrooms with doors. There are two other sleeping areas, off the master bedroom, lofted up from the main living area. While these spaces may be fine for kids, they may not offer enough privacy (or insulation from sound in the rest of the house) for most adults. The lower area has a private apartment, complete with kitchen & separate entrance. This secluded space was perfect for a sleeping baby & quiet time away! The yard is great, set back from the street, no worries about kids going into the road. There were many steps down to the beach & we were there for days & not once did we ever run into anyone else on the beach (besides our other family who was staying at the rental house next door). It was great - right next door, through some tall grass, is another rental house (different owners). It was perfect for our family reunion to be able to have the two houses next door to each other, kids running back and forth between them. The owner was very friendly and helpful prior to our visit, giving us restaurant ideas, etc. We did get most of our security deposit back but did get two deductions we weren't thrilled about. First, as we were leaving one of the adults spilled a beverage on the carpet (mind you, the entire house is all carpeted in an off-white very light carpet, not exactly practical for a rental). My aunt (mother of three & professional stain remover) spent a lot of time getting the stain out & it appeared to be gone, simply still damp from being cleaned. Well, we got one ding in the security deposit for that- I'm not sure what else really needed to be done besides simply letting it dry. The second deduction came because my Mom (staying next door) realized a serving platter of hers had been left at the Dome House. This was about an hour or so after check-out from the Dome House. She called the owner to make sure it was okay (yes) to stop by the Dome House for the platter. The housekeeper was already there cleaning, Mom said hi, took her platter and left. Then we got a ding on the security deposit for the housekeeper's time to find the platter!? Overall, we enjoyed our time here. However, when spending hundreds or thousands to rent a place it doesn't really feel good to get nickel and dimed on your way out the door."

  • Our R & R Paradise...

"My wife and I were in need of some much deserved R&R and the House of Ten Rivers delivered! It satisfied everything we had hoped for: privacy, peace and quite, amazing Lake front location, beautiful sunrises, and a comfortable home. It didn't take long for us to decompress, as the weather was perfect so the house was open to the sound of the waves, which made for some great sleeping! We spent the majority of the time taking endless walks along the shoreline, followed by hours in our beach chairs next to the lake. The home has easy access to the beach/lake without the hassle of climbing flights of stairs. So hanging out at the beach was a breeze! We did pull ourselves away from our little piece of paradise and had some very good meals. In Two Rivers we recommend Kurtz's for great sandwiches and excellent German Beer. Also in Two Rivers is Waverly Inn Pizza, where we had some of the best pizza ever! Just down the road is the town of Manitowoc, and we had a great dinner at The Courthouse Pub. Green Bay is just a 30-40 minute drive and there is an excellent German eatery called the Lorelei. There are plenty of activities to indulge in (if you can pull yourself away from Lake front peace and quite), but other than our dinners out, we stayed put! The house itself is very comfortable and we especially like keeping the patio doors open at night and falling asleep to the sound of waves. Sunrises came early, but they were beautiful. The owners; Char and John, met us upon arrival and spent just the right amount of time making sure we got settled in and they were very accessible throughout the week. You can tell that they really I love their home! Regrets? Yes; we had to leave! Our week was a dream week and we will definitely return when it's time for more R&R!!"
