  • Perfect Getaway!

"The stay at Cozy Cabin by the Lake was like stepping into a loved one's home. This owner was welcoming and well stocked! This kitchen had everything we could want or need for a home cooked meal. We watched great movies every night and enjoyed exciting games on the dining room table. Our family of five fit comfortably in this wonderful home. We were two doors in from Michigan Lake which, though cold (thanks to the Polar Vortex), had soft sand and some lovely people. Our two little dogs loved the yard and the beach! This owner has everything a person or furry friend could need at the cozy cabin. We visited Koher-Andrae State Park just minutes away. We also visited Sheboygan Falls which was very nice but pretty sleepy on Mondays. This location is convenient to quaint Wisconsin towns or cities like Sheboygan or Milwaukee. We were pleasantly surprised by the Kohler Arts Center in Sheboygan! If you are looking for sun and sand but love a nice wooded setting, this is the place for you! We loved it!"

  • FANTASTIC !!!!

"The booking experience was a breeze. Nicola was immediately responsive to the initial inquiry and the transaction couldn't have been easier. The location is a stones throw from I 43 and very easy to find. My first impression was WOW !!!! The first impression was not deceiving....it is an outstanding property !!!! The ambiance is of a modernized summer home of the 1930's, but I have never stayed in such a finely constructed and appointed lake home. The house was lacking nothing. Bath and a half, every kitchen utensil ever needed, lots of warm water for the whirlpool bath, killer deck, spotlessly clean , crisp clean sheets, very comfortable bed, a ton of pillows and towels, central air ( didn't need it), WIFI , TV, ( had to check the weather), grill, fire pit, and privacy.... In spite of all that, the real attraction is the Million dollar view !!!! There are large picture windows facing Lake Michigan. Fantastic !!! The pictures don't really do justice to how close the house is to the water . Neither do they really bring out the character of the house. The beach was well kept, clean, and with comfortable chairs and an umbrella. The other property renters were not close enough to be an intrusion. Only caveat is the cell phone coverage is spotty ...sometimes 4G , sometimes, no service. But what the heck , I didn't care...I was on vacation !! Text message worked. If you cant live without your cell you can hook up to the WIFI and that problem was solved. Also, they have a land line, so no obstacle to must make phone calls. In summary Barbadon was a 5 star property that I intend to re visit...."

  • Loved this cottage and location!

"Every photo of this rental property was accurate and what we got was what we expected from the photos -- beautiful, welcoming and comfortable. This cottage was so lovely that we really hated to leave when our week was up. It was so accessible to the beach and so convenient to nearby attractions. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. This cottage had every amenity possible which made our stay even more comfortable. Loved 'conversing' via email with the owner of this property. Nancy was very helpful in suggesting age-appropriate places to visit and any questions we had were answered promptly and completely. This property was so clean and well-maintained, I would have bought it on the spot! We went to the Kohler Design Center which we all loved, even my grandchildren. The Storybook Garden was fantastic for old and young alike. We also visited Cedarburg and the Riveredge Nature Center in Newburg. We all loved Cedarburg and the kids didn't want to leave the Nature Center. My favorite thing was walking along the beach every morning for 1/2 hour each way -- it was a fantastic, relaxing, and thoughtful time for me each day to just dream and enjoy the beauty of Lake Michigan. I can't recommend this cottage and location highly enough!"

  • A Little Slice of Heaven

"Our family of three especially enjoyed our recent stay at Aunt Dots. The view was incredible, the pace was relaxing and the environment was tranquil. Everything we needed (plus more) was available for our use. My husband and I enjoyed the kayaks so much that we are considering buying some ourselves! Our preschooler had too much fun playing on the sandy beach, chasing the occasional flock of birds and collecting the tiny shells. When we did need something, the grocery store and delicious bakery were literally “down the road”. Super close Sheboygan provided some extra entertainment for the little guy. All told, it was a perfect place with wonderful hosts. We enjoyed having the owners so close and greatly appreciated their suggestions and area knowledge. Five stars! Hope to return soon!"
