  • A Little Slice of Heaven

"Our family of three especially enjoyed our recent stay at Aunt Dots. The view was incredible, the pace was relaxing and the environment was tranquil. Everything we needed (plus more) was available for our use. My husband and I enjoyed the kayaks so much that we are considering buying some ourselves! Our preschooler had too much fun playing on the sandy beach, chasing the occasional flock of birds and collecting the tiny shells. When we did need something, the grocery store and delicious bakery were literally “down the road”. Super close Sheboygan provided some extra entertainment for the little guy. All told, it was a perfect place with wonderful hosts. We enjoyed having the owners so close and greatly appreciated their suggestions and area knowledge. Five stars! Hope to return soon!"

  • Little Bit of Zen

"We are an older couple who rented for a long weekend. The cottage is comfortable and nestled in a lovely spot next to a calm creek that empties into the Lake, which is visible from the living area. Despite our bad luck in hitting a spell of cloudy weather, we still enjoyed the beauty and quiet. The owners are very nice folks, too! Try these friendly local restaurants with hearty everyday fare: Judi's Place, Oostburg, and Majerle's Black River Grill, Sheboygan. Kohler-Andrae State Park, with a beautiful sand dune boardwalk beside the Lake, should not be missed."

  • FANTASTIC !!!!

"The booking experience was a breeze. Nicola was immediately responsive to the initial inquiry and the transaction couldn't have been easier. The location is a stones throw from I 43 and very easy to find. My first impression was WOW !!!! The first impression was not deceiving....it is an outstanding property !!!! The ambiance is of a modernized summer home of the 1930's, but I have never stayed in such a finely constructed and appointed lake home. The house was lacking nothing. Bath and a half, every kitchen utensil ever needed, lots of warm water for the whirlpool bath, killer deck, spotlessly clean , crisp clean sheets, very comfortable bed, a ton of pillows and towels, central air ( didn't need it), WIFI , TV, ( had to check the weather), grill, fire pit, and privacy.... In spite of all that, the real attraction is the Million dollar view !!!! There are large picture windows facing Lake Michigan. Fantastic !!! The pictures don't really do justice to how close the house is to the water . Neither do they really bring out the character of the house. The beach was well kept, clean, and with comfortable chairs and an umbrella. The other property renters were not close enough to be an intrusion. Only caveat is the cell phone coverage is spotty ...sometimes 4G , sometimes, no service. But what the heck , I didn't care...I was on vacation !! Text message worked. If you cant live without your cell you can hook up to the WIFI and that problem was solved. Also, they have a land line, so no obstacle to must make phone calls. In summary Barbadon was a 5 star property that I intend to re visit...."

  • Lovely space in a lovely place.

"Leslie's apartment on Lake Street was a dream. Clean, charming, lots of space - it was the perfect little hideaway during our trip to Elkhart Lake and Road America. Centrally located in Elkhart, we could walk to everything in town, or just stay upstairs for a nice private evening. Can't imagine staying anywhere else, now."
