  • Perfect in all ways!

"We spent 3 days/2 nights at this sweet little cottage. It was a little piece of paradise! The tiny cottage was spotless, cozy & comfortable. The wooded views were beautiful and you can hear Lake Michigan waves crashing :) The private beach is amazing! Picnic table, chairs and a fire pit. We built a fire the first night and it was magical. Not a cloud in the sky and the star gazing was spectacular! We only saw one person walk by the 3 days we were here! My husband and I just can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our time here. The car never moved until we left :) The kitchen is well stocked so bringing all our own food and cooking was not a problem. We are hoping to return next Fall! Thank you Sally for all your help! You made reserving our time, payment etc., so easy! It was a pleasure to meet you :)"

  • Escape the craziness of work

"This is our third trip to the Oostburg-based beach; our first to this charming home. The home sits right on the lake and offers a wonderful escape from the craziness of work! In fact, expect to take a full break from work because hotspots and cell service are spotty without a road trip toward town! But, ask yourself, why work when the lake beckons you to slow down and enjoy the fruits of your labour? Each morning the lakeside patio invited us to sit with coffee and watch the morning unfold across the lake or walk the mile plus of sandy shoreline. The quaint kitchen and Weber grill on the patio offered sufficient tools to cook a meal or make appetizers for happy hour. Bring bicycles. Town is just a short, 3-mile trip west; Andrea Kohler State Park, 5.5 miles to the north. When you return, take one of the loungers down to the sand, and do nothing. Come nightfall, watch the stars move across the expansive sky then fall asleep in the European style master bedroom (two twin beds) listening to the waves. Insider Tips: Stay in touch with the owner. Ask for an early check-in (5:00pm is hardly enough time to get oriented and you pay for the entire day). And be prepared for the 10:00am required departure, which makes the end of your relaxing trip rushed."

  • Perfect Family Get Away

"We enjoyed our time on the beach, biking, strawberry picking, hiking at the state park and s'mores by night. The home was clean and very comfortable, especially the beds. The neighbors in the area are also very friendly. We have a wonderful time, thank you."

  • What a great place to stay!!

"A group go us were coming to Elkhart Lake for a wedding and wanted to forego staying in a hotel or condo and stumbled upon this gem. The house has great character, clean and full of light. It's location puts you steps away from the lake (enjoyed a couple afternoons at the beach) and close to some great restaurants and one of my favorite bars - Siebkens! And the porch was great for a pre-dinner cocktail. Lisa, the owner, was great and so helpful in helping us get the lay of the land. We can't wait to go back next summer!"
