"This was a trip for the whole family . . My husband and I with our 4 and 5 year old kiddos, plus 84yo grandma, and last but not least the family dog. I can't say enough about what a wonderful time we had, and how much we enjoyed staying at The Edgewater!! The pictures on homeaway.com just don't do it justice. The home/ property are lovely and comfortable, and provided a wonderful place for us to relax, pray, and play together as a family. We weren't there 5 minutes when, standing in the back yard, my 5 year old son exclaimed gleefully "I LOVE Lake Michigan!! This is the BEST vacation ever!!" We are so grateful to have found this lake home. It was perfect for what we needed. We used the fire pit each night and even saw some of the northern lights in the sky one evening."

"Our multi-generational family just completed our 4th stay at the beach house, and we keep returning for many reasons. The house is spacious enough to allow for multiple activities, is well supplied with housewares, linens, etc, and is located in a convenient spot for beach lovers and for exploring the area. Packer fans enjoyed Lambeau field, the golfers loved Fox Hills, and the kids were thrilled with Bay Beach amusement park. Lake Michigan was higher than in past years, but it was still possible to swim, build sand castles, or walk along the shore. The only fly in the ointment is that the internet/cell phone connection is sporadic, but that kept us engaged with our family!"

"We had a great time at Ten Timbers! I probably tried to pack too much into an extended weekend, but I figured we could all rest up after vacation. Friday, I surprisingly woke up for sunrise and just looked around your beautiful beach house since I didn't have a chance in daylight Thursday night. I love all of your attention to detail and fun decorations. The way you have the lights set-up make for very cool ambiance. Back to the decorations, I saw something new each time I entered a room. Even better, the lake view inside and out is one of the best I have seen - and I have rented many homes on the Great Lakes in Michigan, Ohio, and now Wisconsin.
We took off for the Dells at 9a on Friday. We didn't eat at Paul Bunyan's even though I would have liked it. Had to reserve time for Noah's Ark Water Park. We had a great time there. Afterwards, we did the Original Duck's tour, then had ice cream in town at Goody Goody Gumdrops.
Saturday tired and sunburned, we slept in a bit. Nice sleep with the crashing waves! After up, we saw a huge freighter crossing the lake towards the North. The kids tried a swim and were challenging each other to brave the cold, but decided on building sand castles instead. Mid-afternoon, we decided to explore Rawley Point Lighthouse. Very cool. Next, we drove North and took pictures of lighthouses in Algoma, and two in Sturgeon Bay/Door County on the East shore of the peninsula. Next, we returned to Two Rivers for our finale ice cream break at the Washington House. Finally, we returned to the beach house for a fire and grilled steak/hamburgers, corn on the cob, and roasted garlic potatoes.
It was such a pleasure to meet Char and John, as well! They were very welcoming, helpful, and truly sincere friendly people. Thanks for opening your beach house to my family for a very memorable vacation at the Beach House of Ten Timbers!"
