Thanks for a wonderful stay in Elkhart Lake!
"We found this house to be extremely clean and comfortable, and the owner gets top marks for communication and professionalism.
The house was larger and nicer than I expected from the photos. The living room is large and comfortable, the kitchen is fully stocked, and the bathrooms were impeccably clean. The upstairs bedrooms were very comfortable, especially the king bed in the master. The bunk bed worked fine for the kids, but the upper bunk was a little tricky to climb in and out of. We had friends stay a couple nights in the downstairs beds, and they were happy there. The backyard was lovely, too.
Elkhart Lake is a very sweet town, with several good restaurants and a wonderful farmer's market. It is a short walk from the house into the center of town. Highlights were the Paddock Club restaurant, swimming at the resident beach on the lake, and visiting the Kohler museum. Closest groceries are 10 miles south in Plymouth.
This was one of the easiest and most professional VRBO experiences we've had. The host provided clear and accurate communication in advance and during our stay. Kudos to her!"

"We stayed here during the PGA Championship and fell in love with Elkhart Lake. We are from NJ and loved how friendly absolutely everyone we met was. Elkhart Lake has a great small town feel. This house has a really great location. We were able to walk to all of the fabulous restaurants we found in town. We loved the Lake Street Cafe, the Back Porch Bistro, Off the Rail for breakfast, Gesserts has the best ice cream we've ever had! You have access to the Siebkens resort pool which our kids loved; as well as the lake which was very very clean and beautiful! We rented kayaks at the Oostoff resort one day. The house has all the basics that you need and fresh linens provided. There is a grill out back which we also used for lunch a couple times. We stayed in both upstairs and downstairs. The downstairs is nice because you have the beautiful front porch to use! The house is very charming. The owner is very nice and was so easy to work with. We recommend Elkhart Lake and this house to anyone. We would definitely return and stay here again!!"

"Yes, East Street Retreat of Elkhart Lake feels like our own as we've been coming here for over 10 years. But in reality the owners very much own the place and it's not us. The owners have done amazing improvements with the home over the years we've been vacationing there. It was a gem when we first step foot in it and now with the new kitchen and bathroom and opened up floor design on the main level, it's too good to be true. What's great? - the location to the lake (house has three kayaks for renters use), live entertainment outside your door, big comfortable bedrooms all tastefully decorated, an outdoor shower, a beautiful wrap around porch with a porch swing, and for the bikers - some of the best bike ride opportunities you can find anywhere through the scenic Kettle Morain State Forrest. Both hardcore and leisure bikers will go crazy for these rides. Overall, I hesitated if I wanted to write a review - not sure I want anyone to know about the house as it's too good to be true."

"My family stayed at the Lodge end of June 2015. The lodge is beautiful as described. Plenty of firewood was on hand for our evening campfires. We had fun playing tennis, basketball, kayaking and paddle boating. My two adult sons enjoyed fishing and just hanging out. My dog loved all the walking trails! This was a perfect retreat to get away from the city and enjoy some very much needed down time. We would definitely come here again."
