  • A Doll House!

"We were lucky enough to find a vacancy here for our 25th anniversary and couldn't believe it! We had been looking at this place for a couple of years and it is always booked. I hate to write so much good about it as it will get even more bookings and our chances of renting again will get harder! It is a perfect, spotlessly clean, cozy little nest in a location that couldn't be better. We enjoyed all that Door County has to offer...and that is so much. There is shopping, fine dining, and sightseeing just steps away, and we did it all. An added plus is that the owners are easy to work with and are the kind of people that you wish you had in your circle of friends. They are cheerful and very friendly. We can't say enough good things about our whole experience in this little doll house!"

  • A hidden gem!

"This cabin truly is one of Door County's hidden gems! There really is no need to leave the property since there is so much to do right outside the door on Kangaroo Lake- swimming, canoeing, biking, cooking out, etc. It is nice that the cabin is centrally located-it was quick and easy to tour the peninsula all week! My family and I have stayed at this cabin three times in total (twice in the fall-gorgeous leaves-and once in the summer). Each time we visit, we are never disappointed! The cabin has ample space for lodging our family of 6. We love to relax and spend time in the spacious screened in patio and gazebo (keeps all the mosquitoes out)! A few of us even enjoyed falling asleep to the sounds of nature on the screened in balcony! The land and lake views here can't be beat! We loved canoeing around Kangaroo Lake with the canoe provided by the owners! In the evening, it was nice to relax around the fire and gaze at the stars from the dock. Everything you need is provided at this cabin. From sheets and towels to cooking equipment, we loved not having to worry about bringing supplies. The Brewers fans in our group enjoyed the flat screen TV and DirectTV package-they didn't have to miss a game all week! One of the best parts of staying here is the pet friendly aspect. We were able to bring our dogs and not have to worry about leaving them behind on vacation! The owners of the cabin communicate well and provide all the necessities needed for a nice vacation! The cabin has a binder full of information one might find beneficial during a stay. I can't say enough great things about this cabin...my family and I will surely continue to rent this property in the future!"

  • Ski weekend in the frozen north

"Overall, we were very happy with the house. We were up for a couple of nights of socializing and good company, and a day skiing at Minocqua Winter Park, and the whole experience was great. The location is beautiful, and very convenient to town. If we had any complaints (and they're minor), it's that the bedrooms tended to be very warm if the living room was comfortable (turn down the thermostat before bed), and that there were no hand towels in the bathrooms. When they said "no towels", I guess that's what they meant... Nevertheless, we were incredibly happy with the house, and the whole experience. Highly recommend."

  • Serenity now

"My wife and I stayed at the lakeside cabin for almost a week in Mid August. It is exactly as described. Irene was a very gracious and helpful host and gave us all the info we needed to have an enjoyable week. The cozy little cottage was a great place to spend some time just relaxing and taking in the gorgeous view. There was a humming bird feeder right outside the porch window which was humming with birds and a treat to watch. The outside deck was a great spot to read and/or just soak it all in. There is hiking and biking trails nearby which we took advantage of.The fishing was a bit slow but one day after some rain that certainly changed. The bass were biting and a nice sized large mouth was the highlight. Nearby Merril and Tomahawk have a variety of things to offer. If you are looking for a quiet, quaint well taken care of cottage to relax, disconnect and soak in all that Knight lake has to offer I say check it out. If you need lots of action and reading a good book in a quiet and gorgeous spot is not your thing, I say find someplace else."
