"This was our first stay at Kulma Cottage. We chose it based on the one review provided under this listing. We weren't disappointed. It is a wonderful place for a family (including our dog). There are three bedrooms upstairs and one downstairs just off the kitchen. the master bedroom is a good size and has a walk-out deck that has steps down to the backyard. The kitchen is a nice size with a gas stove top, and oven (no dishwasher though). The living area is cozy and makes for a nice gathering area to watch DVDs. There are also board games and books to choose from on the bookshelves. The window unit air conditioners were plenty to cool the place down during the day (we only needed the AC on two of the days during our weeklong stay). The location is very convenient to Wilson's and the Ephraim Town Hall (only about a 10 minute walk). The wooded setting is just off of German Road up the hill from Highway 42 and made for very peaceful evenings. There is also a wooden bin out in front that is full of balls, bats, frisbees and outdoor types of toys.
I recommend this cabin to others considering a family type of stay (it would be too big for a couple). What you should expect: a very nice cabin that makes for a very comfortable stay. What you should not expect: posh 5-star accommodations with pressed linens and decorator soaps. If you come with those expectations, you won't be disappointed.
A couple things need to be noted though: if you have an AT&T cell phone, you will not have service at the cabin (we have AT&T). This is pretty typical throughout Ephraim for AT&T users. Also, the cabin does not have wifi. We used a portable "mifi" to get a connection when we needed to, but for us, it was actually nice to be "off the grid" for a few days."

"The house was well cared for and very clean! Owner was on top of all communications and responded very quickly. Very quiet area, great fishing lake! (Brought quite a few home to put in the freezer) Just the perfect place to relax and enjoy an end of summer break after all of the hectic summer activities and before the busy holiday season begins. Our family of 5 would definitely come back for future stays.
Thank you for sharing your home! :)"

"This was one of the best WI vacations we've had in a long time. The whole idea was spending time with family and relaxing and that is exactly what we did. Jack & Jackie are such great hosts. The cabin had everything you could imagine in it, even glass wine glasses! I've never rented a cabin where so many of the little things were provided that you wouldn't think you needed but you do. Thanks Jack & Jackie for such a wonderful time."

"We had a great time at Kaas lodge. 7 girlfriends stayed for the weekend. There was plenty of room for all of us and we enjoyed sitting out on the deck. The house itself is located above a cheese factory and Renards cheese shop is right next door. The house is about 10 minutes from the town of Sturgeon Bay but not a bad drive at all since everything is so close. The kitchen could have a few more dishes for meal prep and it would be nice if the owners provided hand towels, but we had a wonderful time!"
