"Birch Lane was a great place. There were 8 people in our group and, for the most part, there was plenty of room. The living room had room for 8 people to visit (needed to move chairs from the dining room table, but it was fine) and the stools from the kitchen counter were moved to the dining room table. The master suite (king bed) has a bathroom, the main floor bathroom on the main floor with two bedrooms (a queen bed in each bedroom), and then the basement bedroom with two twins does not have a bathroom. That was a bit awkward, but is doable. I would recommend this for 6 adults and two kids. The home has a woodsy feel and we really enjoyed the house. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, silverware, glasses (including wine glasses!), pots and pans, and baking pans. The property manager communicated well and I enjoyed working with her. There was really only one negative - it says there is satellite tv, but we couldn't get the college or NFL football games we wanted because the subscription was very limited. We went on a Scenic Trolley tour, shopped, and enjoyed Peninsula Pub."

"Beautiful cabin on the lake made the perfect setting for a relaxing vacation. Between the lake and surrounding area we were able to find plenty of opportunities for fun. The owners were courteous and responded to emails and calls promptly. The house was very clean and comfortable. Overall a great experience."

"Our small family was searching for a cozy, quiet, rustic, yet well-appointed cabin or home to spend our short summer vacation. We were very happy with this quaint chalet, even more so with the quiet bay (Peterson Bay) and all of the amenities the owners's provided for our stay. Thanks to the provided kayaks, 'learner's' sail board, etc., our daughter learned many more water skills, and we very much enjoyed watching her learn. This was truly the perfect place for this.
After a long day on spectacular Lake Metonga, we enjoyed DVD's for the family (there's a small book and dvd library included). Also, don't miss the amazing Kovac planetarium nearby which added an educational boost to our trip. Many Thanks!!!"
