  • Perfect place for a wedding!

"My son and his fiance (now wife) chose to have a very intimate wedding in the Door Peninsula, a favorite place of theirs. When they came across this rental, they immediately knew it was the perfect place for their special day! They actually had both the ceremony and reception on the property. The rooms are all beautifully unique and there was plenty of room for everyone to stay. Off of the common room was a kitchen that was well supplied with cookware and a large fridge and freezer- everything we needed to cook and store food for the reception. The grounds and location were beautiful- just across the road from the marina. It made for a great photo backdrop at sunset. The owner was very accessible and accomodating. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to have a family reunion or an intimate wedding celebration."

  • Exactly what we wanted!

"This was our first time in Door County, and this place did not disappoint. The cottage was the perfect size and location for my family (me, wife, 1 year old, and lab). We spent a lot of time on the sandy beach and biking the area. My dog who isn't very fond of water even took a swim on purpose. Very relaxing and quite. Location is very convenient yet remote. We would stay again."

  • Nicely equipped and secluded

"We had a group of 9 in this clean spacious cabin. We were very pleased with the way the house was laid out and the amenities. From little things like lots of towels and linens and lots of hooks to hang towels and gear, to the kayaks and canoes that are included. Kitchen was well equipped and the 2 refrigerators worked well for food and drinks. We appreciated the quality dry firewood provided (honor system payments). It is nice paddle down the river to the lake (and the eagle's nest). We caught a bucket full of crawfish for dinner in the river by hand and they were the best we had ever had (including 'Nawlins). Lots of wildlife to see including river otters, herons, kingfisher, loons and more. If you are into biking the roads and trails are perfect for hybrids or mountain bikes. The property is on a peninsula / bend in the river and you cannot see the neighbors. Definitely recommended."

  • A quiet outdoor retreat...a true get-away

"We enjoyed this quiet, well-maintained home for 4 days in July. We enjoyed the great outdoors during our stay...fishing, catching frogs, walks, campfires and created a nice size list of all the wildlife we saw during our stay. Our group included from age 7 to 60, yet everyone stayed "busy" as they wished and definitely relaxed. There is not swimming right off the shore, but we enjoyed some swimming time at a nearby lake for a day. The fire pit is right by the road, but this road is so quiet...I think we only saw/heard one car on it the whole time we were there. The home is very nice, clean and up to date. The owners are friendly and great to work with. Thank you helping us get in a little cottage get away this summer, needed and enjoyed by all!"
