"This was the best supplied kitchen we have ever experienced. The space was very usable and comfortable. Supplies were available as needed. The home was clean and ready to accept us. The problem was the weather that was gray and cold several days. We overcame that by playing games endlessly. I would recommend this property to my friends. We ate at the Wild Tomato, Trio and The Shoreliner. They are all favorttes from past visits. The Maine Street Market is a joy. we also went to the syrup outlet this year and that was rememberable."

  • Great Fishing and loads of fun

"We absolutely love this place. We have been there at least 6-7 times more like 10. We have a stayed there with only our family (6 members), several times with my parents, twice with my brother's family, and with friends. It is such a fun get away for us. I love fishing, my husband and kids love skiing, both water and snow. Yes that is right we even convinced the Craigs to open the cabin for us for one of our little snowski trips! Brule is not far away! The cabin is located on the chain of lakes, which our family and friends have all had a blast, fishing, skiing, tubing, swimming, playing games, etc! We have seen plenty of wildlife there, the deer and eagles being two of my favorite. We are always exhausted by the end of our day. We can't say enough of the cabin. The pictures are great but you can't get the feeling of how warm and welcoming it is until you get there. The decorations are perfect for the Northwoods. It just makes you feel like you're one with nature. The cabin is spacious enough to have another family without feeling you are on top of one another. The cabin is well equipped with kitchen supplies and fun games. We have never had an issue with the cleanliness of the place. The Craigs have always been responsive to our needs. We will be going back. We highly recommend the cabin if you're looking for a place in the Northwoods or just for a fun adventure. Thank you! We love it!!!"

  • Gem of a trip

"We had an excellent, long weekend at Tom's cabin! The place has everything you need whether you are staying a couple nights or a whole week, his directions and instructions were extremely accurate... all you need to do is bring some clothes, food, and drink and you are good to go! We boated on the pontoon boat stopping to fish (when we weren't fishing off the pier) and eat at the local Sunset Resort, we brought our Polaris Ranger for the atv trails and had a blast riding from community to community, we enjoyed the outdoors watching the loons and spotting the eagle that flew from island to island, but most of all had fun spending time together! This is was a great last minute vacation for us that we lucked out and happened upon, but we would definitely go back! Thank you Tom!!!!"

  • Great Lake House

"My wife and I drove the six hours from Chicago and stayed a week. We had a wonderful time staying at the main house. Mike was great to work with and very responsive through the whole process. The accommodations of the main house were very clean and fit our needs perfectly. The house had a great layout with a very nice sunroom. The fire pit was in a good location to spend the evenings while enjoying the spectacular view of the stars. We had good pan fishing off the dock and we rented a boat from Boulder Marine Center that worked out great for us. They picked me up from the house with the boat and dropped me off at the landing about one mile from the house. It couldn't have worked out better. We saw numerous eagles soaring through the sky and perched on branches in the trees. We also saw a family of otters swimming alongside our boat. Fishing on the lake was good; while I was unable to land a Musky we still caught several perch and a few bass among others. The town has everything a small Northwood's town needs including small grocery, good bait shop and a few bars & restaurants. I would also recommend taking a day and exploring the downtown area of Minocqua about a 30 minute drive south. We could have easily stayed a few more days and we’ll be looking for opportunities to return in the future."
