  • Amazing House and Location

"This place was just what we were looking for - a quiet place on the snowmobile trails for some good family time. Close to great restaurants and shops. The beds were super comfy. The living area was cozy. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the dishes and utensils you could ever need. We will definitely stay again if we are back in the area."

  • More than Expected

"This cabin was everything described and more. Our family was looking for seclusion, yet with two daughters ages 9 and 11 we also wanted to be near recreational activities. The location of this cabin was perfect. It is a beautiful bike ride to Boulder Junction on Old County K Road and the nearby lakes offered canoeing, swimming and fishing. Although there was plenty to do around the cabin it was just a short drive to miniature golfing and horseback riding. We stayed for five days and felt like we could have stayed another week. The cabin was comfortable, immaculate and updated. As soon as we pulled up we were so excited to see that the real thing was even better than the listing photos. We had no problems instantly relaxing. We could toss around the frisbee in the yard and the rope swing was an added bonus. I would definitely recommend this cabin to family and friends. In fact, we already have."

  • A Cozy Northwoods Retreat

"Just a really neat place. Was nice and private, except that it was early June and the mosquitoes found us! The place was neat and clean and everything worked. The cabin was well furnished and provided some good separation from our adult kids. Impressed by the natural beauty of, and lack of cottages on Kitten and Wildcat Lakes. Had some excellent fishing and saw lots of dear. Used the boat, 2 canoes and both bikes daily. My son-in-law from Iowa couldn't wait to return home to show his "Iowa farm pond" fishing buddies some pictures of "real" fish."

  • Very Clean house! Well stocked Kitchen, lots of parking, close to boat ramp + Good fishing!

"Very clean house! Kitchen has plenty of pots and pans and everything you need to cook with, just bring your own food, TV receives about 4+ channels plus a DVD player also, thats handy on a rainy day. Lots of parking! you could park 4 boat trailers 4+ cars easily, plus a large turn around area. The boat launch is only about a 1/4 mile from the drive way, I Had no problem putting my 1996 18.5' Crestliner Fish/Ski I/O in and out,( Note my boat even fit through the large culvert tube that connects to Fishtrap Lake, just cut the engine, raise the I/O and pull yourself thru with the hand grips in the tube) Very nice fire pit with chairs, picnic table + wood to burn, just bring your own fire starter. Very nice fish cleaning house also with a sink and running water. Note: you cannot see the Lake from the house But that helps to make it a nice quite property (lakes can be noisy in the summer months). Dock is in a weedy bay but I had no problems, just reverse thrust the weeds off your prop once you are in deeper water.(not a concern for experienced boaters). There is a public Swimming beach just a little west of Land-O-Lakes right on the highway on Black Oak lake. High Lake has good fishing! and good weed structure, we caught Large Mouth, Blue Gills, Rock Bass, Perch, and a 36" Muskie, we did not try for walleye but they are there. Mike & Jackie are great hosts they return call's or E-Mails quickly."
