"This was one of the best WI vacations we've had in a long time. The whole idea was spending time with family and relaxing and that is exactly what we did. Jack & Jackie are such great hosts. The cabin had everything you could imagine in it, even glass wine glasses! I've never rented a cabin where so many of the little things were provided that you wouldn't think you needed but you do. Thanks Jack & Jackie for such a wonderful time."

"We came 3 nights for the 4th of July weekend. Plenty to do and see in the area at the time. Made small trips to see falls, ski shows and fireworks. Plenty of room for 4 adults. Outdoors was spacious for outdoor activities such as horseshoes, football, etc...and for relaxing on the swing in front of the huge firepit. The property is located on a bluff so you can literally see the tops of the large trees. The breeze was insansely relaxing by feel, sight, and sound. Spent a lot of my time with my arms spread wide open pointing to the sky, lol. The cottage has a small living and kitchen area. Didn't bother us because we did not come up North to watch TV and did all our cooking outside on the bbq. There is no stove/oven. A two burner stove top and microwave went unused. The bedrooms were adequate in size and had plenty of storage. The cottage is perfect for those who like to camp with amenities. The dock and rowboat got plenty of use for fishing. The current wasn't strong so paddling was easy and there were plenty of pockets of fishing spots off the island across from us. The one drawback to our weekend were the stairs down the bluff to the dock. It was well-built and had landings to rest on and take in the views, but they are not for everyone, I'm 55 and consider myself in good shape, but I wouldn't do that staircase more than 3 times a day. I recommend taking everything you need the first trip down. 😁 Overall, we had a great family-bonding time. I recommend this property for anyone looking for peace, quiet, seclusion, and relaxation."

"We were looking for a relaxing week with the family, Tom and Joyce provided all we could have hoped for. The house was incredible, we fished from the pontoon boat every morning and evening (our daughter caught her first walleye!) and filled the days with local activities such as horse back riding, hiking, sightseeing, and tubing. We enjoyed the cooking facilities, both indoor and out. Tom and Joyce were extremely hospitable and willing to go the extra mile."

"We almost cancelled. The week before our scheduled holiday, I watched my dear friend and mother or three take her last few breaths of life. It seemed wrong to go away, and leave everyone else to deal with the logistics of losing a loved one..... In the end, we decided to turn inward, in a way that can only be done when there is silence and a river that lets thoughts and memories roll on through.... So life affirming. So healing. So needed. Thank you, Brett and Lynne, for all your attention to detail, for the lending of the fly rods, and for giving us the space to come together as a family, and hold each other tight. Life is so very precious, and this is the kind of place that reminds you of just that."
