"We were very satisfied and enjoyed our stay. The three-story format provided privacy as well as comfortable spaces for getting together. We liked the large dining table because we usually take turns fixing dinner, except for a final night at a good restaurant. The upstairs master suite was very attractive although the queen bed seemed small. The space would easily house a king bed. The adjacent den with an attached upper deck patio was really nice for reading or computer work. The kitchen was very up to date with stainless steel appliances, a good supply of dishes, granite counter, and an almost adequate supply of pots and pans for the stove. The house was very clean, the sheets and towels were good quality, and the only problem we had with the half-bath toilet. Overall, we thought it was a top-notch rental."

  • Historic Cozy Cottage on a Quiet Bay: Perfect for Families

"What a perfect place to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary! This cottage is full of history! We stayed here with our 3 children (15, 12, and 8) and had a lovely time! The cottage is remarkably clean and comfortable. We fell in love immediately when we opened the door. Our children enjoyed learning about the history of the North Bay Fish Company. The owners have books in the home that tell the story of the Fish Company along with many historic documents and photographs. It was so interesting! In the evenings we made memories and laughed as we played games and watched the stars! The campfire pit was perfect for telling stories....we may have made up some stories of lost fishermen at sea! Our favorite part of the cottage was the canoe. We canoed around North Bay and enjoyed the solitude of being with nature. We spotted birds nests, deer, fish, birds, frogs, crayfish and more. So peaceful and relaxing on North Bay yet only 4 miles to Wilson's! This cottage is in the perfect location! Special thanks to the Steffen Family for sharing their special piece of paradise with us! We loved every moment of our vacation! (Especially the fresh cut wildflowers!)"

  • Relaxing Winter Getaway

"We stayed here for several nights over NYE weekend this year and had a blast. Well stocked kitchen, plenty of outdoor space for the dog to run around, tons of bedrooms, and close to Peninsula State Park. This place was wonderful. We'll definitely be back"

  • Perfect fall get away

"We can not recommend this place enough. The cabin is excellent. The one thing I was worried about was the bathroom since there are no pictures. It is huge, and there is a separate room for a shower. Anyway, the cabin has a kitchen that is fully stocked with any utensil you'll need. I'd recommend bringing food because it is quite a bit more expensive once you're on the peninsula (at least compared to Chicago). There is an indoor fireplace upstairs that we enjoyed a few times. There is another fireplace outside, which is also beautiful. Other reviewers have pointed out the proximity of the Cana Cove lighthouse. IT IS SO CLOSE. At night, in the loft, it appears so close that you would think you can touch it. Sidenote, if you're there in season take the tour. It's worth it. There is a huge yard that was good fod us (just a married couple). It would be great for kids or dogs, too. The shore is maybe 100 yards away. It is quite a rocky shore, so you won't be swimming. But it is on the lake side, and it is absolutely beautiful. The peninsula is fairly compact so you're only about 20 or so minutes from the bigger towns (Fish Creek, Egg Harbor, Sister Bay). Baileys Harbor itself has some nice things, too, especially its shoreline park. Overall, I completely recommend this cabin. It's a little different in that you have some more responsibility to bring your own sheets and turn on the water heater. However, you can not beat the price. Keep in mind that we had almost zero cell serive on the peninsula at all, let alone at the cabin (ATT and T Mobile). There is no internet or landline at the cabin, either. It was weird for the first day, but then the disconnect was kind of nice. I was a little nervous about there not being a land line at the cabin in case of an emergency, but obviously I lived to tell the tale! If you're looking for a beautiful, amazing place to stay in Door County, look no further. The cabin is excellent, the locaiton is excellent, and the owner is excellent. Jim was available constantly when a few issues arose before and after our trip. We are already looking forward to our nect trip."
