  • Cedar Beach Inn

"Hi Mary, We all enjoyed our stay from 2 - 6 October at your house in Baileys Harbor. The house was lovely and spacious and attractively decorated and everything worked out perfectly. We all thought the location was perfect and it is very convenient to the other side of the Door peninsula. Being on the water was a great feature. We ate at Chives and Harbor Fish Market & Grille which you had recommended and they were excellent. We also ate at Al Johnsons Swedish Restaurant in Sister Bay with the goats on the roof (very interesting). We also tasted beer at Door County Brewing just up the road from your house and had lunch at the Cornerstone Pub. We also visited many art galleries and purchased an original oil from Ed Fenendael at his Windmill Farm studio in Baileys Harbor. All in all a great vacation. Thank you --"

  • Milwaukee Family group

"We were very satisfied and enjoyed our stay. The three-story format provided privacy as well as comfortable spaces for getting together. We liked the large dining table because we usually take turns fixing dinner, except for a final night at a good restaurant. The upstairs master suite was very attractive although the queen bed seemed small. The space would easily house a king bed. The adjacent den with an attached upper deck patio was really nice for reading or computer work. The kitchen was very up to date with stainless steel appliances, a good supply of dishes, granite counter, and an almost adequate supply of pots and pans for the stove. The house was very clean, the sheets and towels were good quality, and the only problem we had with the half-bath toilet. Overall, we thought it was a top-notch rental."

  • Carraig Mor is the BEST!

"Carraig Mor is by far the most lovely house we have ever rented. The house lacks for nothing. It is beautifully furnished and immaculate. Three bedrooms and two full bathrooms upstairs and a half bath downstairs. The kitchen is truly amazing. It has everything you could ever need, and it is fabulous. There is a lovely living room with a picture window looking out on the garden. And there is a cozy sitting area off the dining area. But the highlight of the house is the wrap around porch which looks out on the stunning garden. Honestly, it is like your own personal arboretum. What a very special and almost sacred place. We were lucky to be there as July turned to August, as all the flowers were in bloom. We had two dinner parties with local friends, and our guests were in awe of the beauty and lushness of the garden. A special experience."

  • Perfect House in a Perfect Location

"My family stayed at this property for a week in June. The weather cooperated most days, but despite some rainy days the house more than made up for it in terms of comfort and activities for our family. There were 4 adults and two children ages 8 and 10. The dock and depth of the lake make it perfect for swimming. The water is shallow and clear so the kids were more than happy to jump in (and again we didn't have perfect weather for it). The property has a canoe that was easy to use to go paddling around the lake and for fishing. My son caught several good size bass and a crappie. The house design is just right for anyone looking for space when you want to retire to your room or meet for time together in the great room. The kitchen is spacious and well stocked with anything you could possibly need during your stay. The owners were easily reachable and extremely helpful whenever we called. The house has a notebook with clear instructions on how to use all of the amenities. You are a stone's throw from Bailey's Harbor and Lake Michigan, but also secluded enough on the property to feel like you are a world away. We loved the location of the property being a quick drive to any of the places we wanted to visit, such as The Farm, Fish Creek, and Egg Harbor. As I said, we had a few rainy days, but we were totally entertained by the board games and toys in the house. It really is perfect for families. We had my father who is over 60, my brother who is in his thirties, and again my two boys who had a blast playing with all of the toys in the house. When they wanted downtime there is wifi for their electronics and satellite TV. I would highly recommend this property to anyone for any kind of vacation...there are plenty of supplies for outdoor enthusiasts (bikes, canoe, paddle boats etc)...family vacations, girl's weekends...just a great property with a great layout and location. We couldn't be happier!"
