"Spent 3 nights with friends at Stone Cottage, and my first comment would be "it was not long enough". It is a beautiful setting and the cottage has EVERYTHING you could possibly need. Our group loves to cook and the kitchen was well stocked. Fran and Bill are very gracious hosts and even brought up flashlights during a power outage from a thunderstorm. We could not have been more pleased with the accommodations and look forward to returning to their "little slice of heaven", as one friend put it!!"

"My wife and I spent a week in this beautiful Log Cabin as we celebrated our third anniversary as senior newlyweds. While it was my 13th Door County visit, it was only my wife's third. The last three visits have all been in accommodations along Lake Michigan. We progressed from a condo in Whitefish Bay, to a small house near Jacksonport, to this one. The Log Cabin has now become our first choice. It is more than just comfortable, has everything one could possibly want, is the definition of quiet and within a short distance to any point on the peninsula. The owners are the type who become instant friends. Finally, since it was an anniversary which brought us here, I have to say that "romance is in the air"."

"This cabin truly is one of Door County's hidden gems! There really is no need to leave the property since there is so much to do right outside the door on Kangaroo Lake- swimming, canoeing, biking, cooking out, etc. It is nice that the cabin is centrally located-it was quick and easy to tour the peninsula all week! My family and I have stayed at this cabin three times in total (twice in the fall-gorgeous leaves-and once in the summer). Each time we visit, we are never disappointed! The cabin has ample space for lodging our family of 6. We love to relax and spend time in the spacious screened in patio and gazebo (keeps all the mosquitoes out)! A few of us even enjoyed falling asleep to the sounds of nature on the screened in balcony!
The land and lake views here can't be beat! We loved canoeing around Kangaroo Lake with the canoe provided by the owners! In the evening, it was nice to relax around the fire and gaze at the stars from the dock.
Everything you need is provided at this cabin. From sheets and towels to cooking equipment, we loved not having to worry about bringing supplies. The Brewers fans in our group enjoyed the flat screen TV and DirectTV package-they didn't have to miss a game all week!
One of the best parts of staying here is the pet friendly aspect. We were able to bring our dogs and not have to worry about leaving them behind on vacation!
The owners of the cabin communicate well and provide all the necessities needed for a nice vacation! The cabin has a binder full of information one might find beneficial during a stay.
I can't say enough great things about this cabin...my family and I will surely continue to rent this property in the future!"

"This cottage, located centrally on the peninsula, had a lot of advantages for our family of 6. The cottage was very clean and well furnished. The kitchen had every utensil we needed (and many we packed and brought with us). Even with four children ages 8 to 19 we never felt cramped for space. We enjoyed being able to grill, have fires in the fire place in the evening, and playing games and relaxing in the living room.
Due to the cottage's central location, we were able to head out each morning to one of the numerous villages, return to the cottage for lunch, and go back out again. The proximity to Fish Creek is very handy, but it's pretty easy to get to anywhere you want to go in a matter of 15 to 20 minutes.
We honeymooned in Door County in 1994 and returned for a vacation in 1997. This was our first time back since then. This was a great place to stay for our return trip. We hope its not another 18 years before we're back!"
