"This was a very professional transaction with the owner. Everything was as described in our communications. We loved the experience of being on Lake Michigan. The home was very spacious for all four generations of our family. No access issues for our aging parents. We actually appreciated not having TV channels. The location is well worth the extra couple of miles away from the busy towns. We would recommend this to anyone looking for space for the entire family."Guest: Cheese2MeatU Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 26, 2014View listing
"We rented this home for a family fishing vacation, with our adult children, complete with two families' worth of dogs. When we first arrived, we weren't sure what to expect, but don't let the outside fool you. It's a large home, upstairs over what is I believe a cheese factory, and it is very well-done. Four bedrooms, a large living room and dining room, very nice deck. Lots of room for all of us, and a beautiful yard with some wilderness for the dogs to explore. A nice bonus was Renard's cheese shop just across the yard with lots of goodies to enjoy there or to take home. They even make breakfasts and lunches on your way to your next adventure. It was close to the highway, easy to get to the guys' fishing dock and the girls' shopping as well as some very nice restaurants. Would recommend this lovely and spacious home."Guest: Mac family Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 26, 2014View listing
"Our family (my husband, myself and our grown children along with our young grandson) enjoyed an extended weekend at the Hasenjagers guest home. The location is ideal for biking at Peninsula State Park, shopping and adventuring in both Egg Harbor and Fish Creek, and it was just a short car ride to Whitefish Dunes State Park. The six of us were very comfortable - plenty of room to relax. The very large yard was perfect for playing frisbee, flying a kite, and an enthusiastic game of corn toss. The swingset was a bonus for our grandson. The kitchen is well stocked, the grill and deck handy for cookouts, and we were able to prepare all meals at the house, with the exception of a special dinner out one night. We hope to return, and recommend it to others!"Guest: peggy e. Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 4, 2014View listing
"The location of this property is perfect. It is right on Lake Michigan and has a beautiful view of PSP and other small islands. Each night we watched a beautiful sunset view from the dock. There are waterside tables and about 8-10 fold up, comfortable chairs for sitting on the dock. The wrap around deck has ample seating for a large group and there is a very nice dining table inside the screened in porch. Amazingly, for August, there were NO mosquitos that bothered us at night on the deck. The kitchen is well stocked and had everything we needed to cook. The home is over 100 years old so there is charm galore, but the plumbing does not afford much water pressure in the upstairs master bath shower. This is to be expected in an older home, but guests should be aware of this. There is another shower and tub on the main level and a shower in the guest cabin, also. The home is a bit challenging to locate off of the main road so we marked it in our GPS so it was easier to find at night. There is parking for 4 cars even though we thought that there would only be room for 3 cars. We parked our 4th car in the wooded area near the trash containers so that was pretty helpful since the driveway is partially on an incline. The best features of this home are the outdoor spaces and it's old school charm. The owners are great to work with! We recommend this place!"Guest: Windsong Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 22, 2014View listing
