  • An excellent choice!

"My wife and I, along with my two sons, daughter-in-law and grandson, stayed at the chalet for almost two weeks the first half of sept 2012. We totally enjoyed our stay! We found the property to be as clean, comfortable and well-equipped as it is listed. The owners have done an excellent job to provide everything needed for cooking. Just bring in the food. And two full baths is definitely a plus! Good hot water and the water quality was good, too. We loved the deck area, outside fire-pit and large yard. And the swing set is a definite hit if you have kids! This is a good centrally located spot in Door County. There is a good market just a few miles away in Egg Harbor. But if you need a Walmart, you're only 20 miles or less to Sturgeon Bay. Plenty of farm markets around, one just across the road. And we can recommend "The Log Den", just south of EggHarbor, for an enjoyable dining experience. Excellent food! We can heartily recommend the chalet and would definitely go back !!"

  • Parent's 60th Anniversary

"Our first time to Wisconsin and the drive from the airport to Door County was enhanced with the colors of fall's beginning. Egg Harbor is a quaint, charming lakeside town. We arrived at the White Cliff house at sunset. Wow! This lakefront house and setting is absolutely beautiful! The house was perfect for our family of 12. We enjoyed a week of warm afternoons and brisk evenings. The property and surrounding areas were quiet and peaceful during the week of our stay (second week of September). We spent our afternoons with no agenda just visiting the adorable, neighboring towns, searching for lighthouses, drinking local wines, playing miniature golf and finding fresh fish (Gill's rock and Bailey's Harbor). But we always made it a point to make it back to the house just in time to watch the stunning sunsets over the lake. We also looked forward to gathering together and preparing dinners every night in the spacious kitchen/dining area. Beautiful house, lake and area has made wonderful memories for my family. Hope to return someday..."

  • Perfect place for a wedding!

"My son and his fiance (now wife) chose to have a very intimate wedding in the Door Peninsula, a favorite place of theirs. When they came across this rental, they immediately knew it was the perfect place for their special day! They actually had both the ceremony and reception on the property. The rooms are all beautifully unique and there was plenty of room for everyone to stay. Off of the common room was a kitchen that was well supplied with cookware and a large fridge and freezer- everything we needed to cook and store food for the reception. The grounds and location were beautiful- just across the road from the marina. It made for a great photo backdrop at sunset. The owner was very accessible and accomodating. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to have a family reunion or an intimate wedding celebration."

  • A Hidden Gem

"We recently stayed at this log home for our annual family trip to celebrate Fyr Bal. Although it was cloudy and rainy, we all agreed that this was our favorite place to stay! It is everything I hoped for and much more! The log home is tucked in the woods, but an easy stroll to the water. Friday morning we saw a spotted fawn in the front yard and Sunday morning as we were eating breakfast we saw 4 deer stroll across the driveway! The kitchen is well stocked; even has a crockpot! Beds are very comfortable and we made great use of the hot tub! Maureen was great to deal with and responded promptly to my e-mails. She even called during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed! Thanks, Maureen for sharing your lovely home with us!"
