"We wanted to escape and enjoy the fall colors...what a great place to do just that! Far enough from the city that you feel you've made your escape, but not too far of a drive to town to enjoy restaurants, shopping, a movie, etc. In addition to that it seems there is plenty to do in the area. If you like the water, it looks like a great place to enjoy boating of any kind, and there are boat launches & marinas nearby. We also saw ATV & snowmobile trails, and though we don't hunt I imagine there are some great places to do so. The wildlife is everywhere! We also took a trip to the very picturesque Door County peninsula for a wine tasting adventure and a fish boil which is a local tradition. In addition to the wineries, there are many quaint harbor towns loaded with little shops and places to eat. It was the highlight of our trip, we highly recommend it!
The cottage itself was immaculate, nicely updated, and furnished with everything we needed. Just add food and drink and you're all set. The owners are very helpful and accommodating. There's a nice beach with a fire pit, plus the cottage has a huge deck, and both are perfect spots to enjoy the amazing sunrises over Lake Michigan and the stars at night! We WILL be back!!!"

"Our group stayed here for a long weekend and couldn't have been happier with the accommodation. We were two couples in 50s and early 60s along with our mother and an adult niece. The master bedroom was enormous and the 2nd and 3rd bedroom were very comfortable. The main living level on the top floor was wonderful with very open design and a beautiful fireplace and windows overlooking the town and water in the distance. I would definitely stay here again!"

"This was the first time to the Island and we have fallen in love with it.
We didn't know what to expect and have to say we couldn't have been happier.
The home is meticulously remodeled and perfectly clean.
We just wanted to have a quite getaway and this spot was perfect. We sat on the porch swing and watched the gorgeous sunsets over the water. Even on a rainy day we enjoyed ourselves snuggled on the couch, watching movies with a fire burning in front of us.
Trudy was very helpful with sightseeing and dinner options.
The beds were kings and very cozy with a great view of the water.
Washington Island is very laid back, with lots of wildlife. We enjoyed hiking on Rock Island and going to the various museums.
We will definitely be back."

"My family has stayed here many times in Door County and we love it! The cottage is well cared for. The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans and spices. The backyard fire pit is a plus for chilly Door County evenings! We also love the quiet location. It's a home away from home."
