  • Enjoyable Family Vacation

"We had a great time in Door County visiting with our daughter and grandson from Texas. The cottage worked out perfectly for us. Bedrooms are very spacious, and the kitchen is big! We really loved the beautiful lake views from the huge living room windows. And we so enjoyed the easy access to the beach, and gathering around the fire pit in the evening. It really is not very far from anywhere you want to go in door county, and a great place to come back to in the evening to just sit, relax, and enjoy the view!! We were also very lucky to be able to enjoy some wildlife during our stay. There were some baby fox who had their little den alongside the driveway, and we usually would see them at least once a day peeking their little heads out. They were soooooo cute!! And we also saw deer a few times too. We highly recommend this rental."

  • Most Excellent Celebration

"We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary. The description was spot on and the photos gave us a wonderful idea of what was ahead. The home was beautifully appointed, and when we arrived some of the crew was still there to let us in. It was on the quiet side of Door County--just what we were looking for. You can't go wrong booking this property, it was great. Be sure to eat at Johnson's in Ephraim and get your dessert down the street at Wilson's Ice Cream (Yummy). Go to Washington Island on the Ferry and take the Cherry Train for a tour--great value and no walking--Yeah! Exploring the whole of Door County was a wonderful adventure for us and our family. We hope to go back for next year's anniversary. :)"

  • Perfectly Wonderful Home and Setting

"Our "adult" family stayed at The Sandy Beach Lake House during the summer of 2010. Everything, and I mean, everything was perfect. Clean, spacious, and a fully equipped home to make guests feel comfortable and wanting for nothing. We cooked wonderful meals in the fully stocked kitchen, enjoyed yoga and long walks on the beach, slept sound in the beds, had a fire in the fireplace on a rainy evening, and were grateful for the washer, dryer, deck and other comforting amenities. Quiet, away from crowds and a perfect anchoring place to branch off from in Door County!"

  • Just what I hoped for!

"Quietside cottages were just what I was hoping they would be...comfortable, clean, cute and calming. I pulled up after dark and the first sounds I heard were the waves crashing on beach. I felt like I was at the ocean! After dropping my bags in the cottage, I headed down to see the moonlight show the lake was putting on. It was spectacular. I couldn't wait for morning to come. It dawned in silence and serenity. The sky opened up in a beautiful sunrise and the lake was as peaceful as my sleep had been. I walked the beach over and over and was amazed at the ever changing beauty of the Quiet-Side of Lake Michigan. Enjoying the cottage in the woods was just as nice as enjoying the beach. The shops and good coffee nearby were a treat. I came home totally refreshed. I recommend the Quietside property wholeheartedly and can't wait to go back."
