  • Amazing!

"My husband and I stayed at the Hidden Bear Cabin the first weekend in October 2014 with my parents. We decided to take a long weekend trip to Door County since my parents had never been to the Door before. The cabin was gorgeous. It is tucked back in the woods a little off the beaten path...so peaceful and quiet. There were other homes on the dean end street, but we never encountered other people or even a passing car. We were however, just a couple of miles from great restaurants, shopping, and all the Door County sites. Everything about the cabin was perfect. Between the decor and amenities, not a detail was overlooked. Everything was comfy and cozy. The cabin had everything you needed for a getaway weekend or for longer vacation. We loved the little welcome gift of jam and Amish peanut butter and really enjoyed the scavenger hut. The lounge was the perfect place to gather with the gas fireplace in the evening to relax. We were surprised to see the finished basement too! So much space! I wish we could have used the fire pit, but the weather was cold and rainy the first 2 full days we were there. So, we can't wait to come back! We are already thinking about coming up with my in-laws in the spring!"

  • We Loved the Applewood Cottage

"My husband and I stayed at the Applewood Cottage for three nights 8/2014. As a professional event planner, we are very picky and used to 5-Star accommodations. We couldn't have been happier with this cottage. The location is perfect, blocks from Hwy 42 in between Egg Harbor, Fish Creek and Bailey's Harbor. All this while still feeling remote. The grounds are georgous, surrounded by the main farmhouse, the apple & cherry orchards, and plenty of walking trails. Most notably, the cottage is immaculate inside. We were amazed at how perfectly clean everything was. From the complete set of appliances, dishes and pots & pans to the bathroom. Not one cobweb or hint of any musty smell, as one gets used to with cottages. The best part was that we got to stay here with our dog. One might worry that a cottage that allows dogs would have pet damage, hair or smells. This cottage had no evidence of previous dog presence, other than the lovely cabinet, designed to hold dog bowls, toys treats and blankets. What a nice touch. (I bet their Dyson vacuum helps with this!) Some highlights included: The extra comfy bed, the abundant spare bedding, 2 blow up twin mattresses, fluffy new bath & beach towels, portable beach chairs, a fancy Weber grill, an outdoor fire pit, wireless internet, and the flat screen with direct TV so that my husband could watch Premier League Soccer Saturday morning! Sharon was a wonderful host and called me the day prior to our visit. She asked me to text her upon our arrival so that she could make sure everything was to our liking. My only fear in writing this review is that too many people jam up the avaiilability calendar, as my husband and I plan to go back later this Autumn."

  • Girls' Fall Weekend

"My friends and I were not disappointed in the Stauss' condo! It was lovely, convenient to get to, tastefully appointed and very spacious for 4 women! We enjoyed the patio for our morning coffee and the large living room for our evening glass of wine. The house was clean, the beds were comfy and the kitchen well-equipped. It felt like home!"

  • Absloutely Fantastic! Book this Home!!

"If you are looking for a get away for you and your family look no further because you will not find another vacation rental that will bring you so many wonderful memories! We have been going up to Door County for over 14 years and we have stayed in almost every area there is to offer and nothing even comes close to this house and it's location. Nestled in a beautiful secluded area and right across the street from Lake Michigan. You can hear the waves from this home. Not to mention the home has everything your family will need to make the most of your stay. The pictures are nice but they really don't do it justice. You have to be there and experience it for yourself to understand what I mean. I was able to meet the owner one afternoon while I was there and these owners are by far the best I have ever dealt with. Marc is probably one of the nicest people I have ever met in Door County! Take my advise and book this home! You will want to thank me! We will definitely be going back."
