  • Perfect Northwoods Setting!

"Just returned from a week at this lake-front property on Carpenter Lake in Eagle River, and can't say enough positive things. First, Carpenter Lake is beautiful... it features crystal clear water, good fishing and bald eagles in residence; not a lot of motor boat traffic, so it's really peaceful! The cabin itself is a great space with an authentic northwoods cabin feel. A big bonus for us was that renters have their own dock, as well as access to a row boat, canoe, kayaks and paddle boards. By far the best feature of this cabin is it's setting -- a beautiful, level lot under a canopy of trees with a perfect view of the lake."

  • Great place on the chain

"We had a wonderful time on the Eagle River chain. Nice beach for the kids and awesome place for boating. The cabin was as expected and met our needs for 4 adults and 1 child. Great golf course nearby. Manager was very helpful. Transaction was very easy."

  • N Dog

"Arrived early on Saturday with two other couples. The cabin was very well cleaned and in order as promised. Plenty of split firewood for the fireplace was ready to go. Three large bedrooms great open concept cabin with two baths. Cabin looks over lake and connects to some fabulous wooded area which provided for excellent snowshoeing. A sort trip down the road leads to great hiking and cross country trails. There is a warming house along the trail with a nice fire burning inside and an opportunity to feed black cap chickadees out of your hand. The owners of the resort Pam and Chuck were very pleasant , accommodating and helpful with information about where to go. We will definitely be back next year!"

  • Wonderful place for a relaxing getaway.

"We really enjoyed our time at the Bass Lake "Garatage". There is nothing like mornings, sunsets, and clear nights in the North Woods. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. We used the rowboat for trips around the lake to watch the loons, eagles, and other wildlife, as well as some fishing, and also did a short trip around the lake in the Kayaks. If you like swimming, the water was very warm, the sand was soft, and the raft was close enough for anyone to get to. Fishing was also good, with abundant panfish (a worm on a jig from the dock will land you a sunfish on almost every cast, and there are also bluegill, perch, and crappie), northern pike, and some really nice largemouth bass. The lake, for the most part, was fairly quiet, despite the number of cottages on the lake (two boats and jet skis were the max at one time - but usually the lake had a couple folks fishing and maybe one water-skier or rafter - at least when we were around.) Eagle River was close, as were other fun locations that would accommodate most interests. Would highly recommend it."
