Wonderful Loon Haven on Carpenter Lake
"We LOVED our stay at Loon Haven. Carpenter Lake is beautiful...great for swimming, boating and fishing. In fact we caught so many fish (mostly good sized blue gills), that we had a wonderful fish fry on our last night there, and even brought some home. Every day we heard and saw loons and watched bald eagles perching in trees or dipping into the lake for fish. Loon Haven was clean, well stocked with cooking utensils and had enough sleeping room for our group. Added bonuses for our group were WIFI and satellite T.V., 2 refrigerators which saved us money because we did not have to buy ice daily for our beverages, washer & dryer, swim raft. Best of all, we were able to bring our 2 dogs which are integral parts of our families. Cindy, thank you so much for taking time out of your Sunday afternoon and visit with your friend, to help locate a pontoon for us. We definitely look forward to spending the summer of 2017 at Loon Haven (we'd be back next year but for a planned trip out West)."

"We have been staying in Eagle River area with my family for the past 6 years. This year was a new location at Zaugg's Resort! We had 8 adults and 6 kids that had plenty of things to do for the week! This is the only place we have stayed that boats, wood, kayaks, etc were included in the weeks rent. With the big open yards we were able to play softball and disc golf. The kids were never board as there was volleyball, basketball court, tennis, a horse stable across the road where you could feed the horses, tubing, water skiing, and of course the great fishing. We caught more large fish on this lake than the other lakes we have stayed on!
The chalet was clean and had plenty of room and amenities to keep us happy for the week! The beach was awesome as it is all sand and was great watching the kids build castles and such down by the water. This was also the first time the owners stopped by to see how things were going; if there was anything they could do to make it better; and asked us to complete a survey on what they needed to fix or update for next time! We booked again for next year and cant wait to go back!!"

"Serene Shores is a wonderful Northwoods retreat. We loved it! The location was optimal for us. We also loved the seclusion--plenty of privacy and the lot is very nice. We especially loved the fire pit and the dock, and the fact that we were able to bring our beloved dog with us.
The cottage itself is very comfortable and homey! We felt at home immediately. Serene Shores proved to be the perfect "home base" for our Northwoods excursion.
Another plus to staying at Serene Shores is the friendliness, professionalism and customer service orientation of the property manager, who is a pleasure to work with and very responsive to questions and inquiries.
Our stay was a very positive experience and we plan on staying there again."
