"Our family stayed here for a week in July. 6 adults and three children. Great place! Three bedrooms and lots of living space with two levels! Was perfect for us! We rented the pontoon boat as well and it was all very well kept and clean. Very nice kitchen that has all the supplies you could need to cook/grill in! Fire pit and great dock to fish off for fun! We caught lots of perch and bluegill! You can stand in the sandy water right off the pier or float! Very nice! The owner was great to deal with and very responsive! The car ride to town was less than 10min, very convenient. Lots of fun stuff to do in town. Highly recommend reserving a spot on the pirate boat at pirates hideaway. Very fun and family friendly. They also have a tiki bar and ice cream shoppe. Also recommend liefs cafe for breakfast and lunch! Overall we loved the house and couldn't have been happier! We will def be back!"

"We stayed at the cottage again this summer and it was just a great experience again! Sean has made a lot of improvements to the property, new paint, roof, upgraded bathroom, etc. It was every-bit as pleasurable as the last time. North Nokomis is a great lake for fishing and fun! Bring your boat or rent a motor...either way the lake just is fantastic. Best part though is just sitting down at the dock at night in your chair and watching the sun set. What a great location!"

"This was our first stay at Kulma Cottage. We chose it based on the one review provided under this listing. We weren't disappointed. It is a wonderful place for a family (including our dog). There are three bedrooms upstairs and one downstairs just off the kitchen. the master bedroom is a good size and has a walk-out deck that has steps down to the backyard. The kitchen is a nice size with a gas stove top, and oven (no dishwasher though). The living area is cozy and makes for a nice gathering area to watch DVDs. There are also board games and books to choose from on the bookshelves. The window unit air conditioners were plenty to cool the place down during the day (we only needed the AC on two of the days during our weeklong stay). The location is very convenient to Wilson's and the Ephraim Town Hall (only about a 10 minute walk). The wooded setting is just off of German Road up the hill from Highway 42 and made for very peaceful evenings. There is also a wooden bin out in front that is full of balls, bats, frisbees and outdoor types of toys.
I recommend this cabin to others considering a family type of stay (it would be too big for a couple). What you should expect: a very nice cabin that makes for a very comfortable stay. What you should not expect: posh 5-star accommodations with pressed linens and decorator soaps. If you come with those expectations, you won't be disappointed.
A couple things need to be noted though: if you have an AT&T cell phone, you will not have service at the cabin (we have AT&T). This is pretty typical throughout Ephraim for AT&T users. Also, the cabin does not have wifi. We used a portable "mifi" to get a connection when we needed to, but for us, it was actually nice to be "off the grid" for a few days."

"What a beautiful property! My family spent 5 days here this month and couldn't be more pleased.
Our first impression didn't disappoint. Cleanliness is a priority for me. This is the first time we have stayed in Door County in a home. Are we spoiled? You bet.
It is quiet, clean, and lovely with all the amenities of home. We can't wait to return.
Rate it: A TEN!"
