  • Pound WI, Shawano WI, and Somers CT.

"Our family of 6 adults and 1 child had a very roomy and clean home.Water is extremely clear, fishing was very good. Even had some to freeze and bring home. We enjoyed snorkeling, tubing, waterskiing, evening campfires (firewood is not provided like advertised) If your not turned off by a lot of steps,(47) to get to the water I would definitely recommend this beautiful rental. Nice dock to accommodate our pontoon and fishing boat and there is also a paddle boat there to use. Lots of handy items we did not expect also. Place does need to provide a better large frying pan though. And disposing of garbage can be a challenge given the times the dump station is open. Anyway, we had a fantastic time there!"

  • Great house and location

"Wonderful house with everything you will need anticipated by the very helpful owner. Even includes dish soap, napkins, paper towels, foil, ziplocs and all the things you usually have to run out to buy. Very roomy, extremely clean and inviting house. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay "on the quiet side" of the lake. It is not right on the lake and has no view of the lake, but a very short walk to path to lake. The only down side was there were a few things not working or had no instructions (e. g. DVD player, lights, fireplace, ice maker). Also, if you are planning on using the lower level (family room, shower bathroom and twin bedroom), be sure to find out how to turn up the heat down there! All that being said, would consider staying here again because of comfy beds, roominess, cleanliness and serenity."

  • Quaint Cottage with lovely views

"This cottage is quaint - I loved the vaulted ceiling, old stone fireplace, knotty pine cabinets and antique shiny hardwood flooring. There are great fall colors to be seen on walks along the beautiful Lake Michigan shoreline. It's only four hours from Chicago and that makes it a convenient get-away. I'll definitely be back in 2015! The owners answered many questions and told us about 2015 updates to the property that are already in the works."

  • Perfect House in a Perfect Location

"My family stayed at this property for a week in June. The weather cooperated most days, but despite some rainy days the house more than made up for it in terms of comfort and activities for our family. There were 4 adults and two children ages 8 and 10. The dock and depth of the lake make it perfect for swimming. The water is shallow and clear so the kids were more than happy to jump in (and again we didn't have perfect weather for it). The property has a canoe that was easy to use to go paddling around the lake and for fishing. My son caught several good size bass and a crappie. The house design is just right for anyone looking for space when you want to retire to your room or meet for time together in the great room. The kitchen is spacious and well stocked with anything you could possibly need during your stay. The owners were easily reachable and extremely helpful whenever we called. The house has a notebook with clear instructions on how to use all of the amenities. You are a stone's throw from Bailey's Harbor and Lake Michigan, but also secluded enough on the property to feel like you are a world away. We loved the location of the property being a quick drive to any of the places we wanted to visit, such as The Farm, Fish Creek, and Egg Harbor. As I said, we had a few rainy days, but we were totally entertained by the board games and toys in the house. It really is perfect for families. We had my father who is over 60, my brother who is in his thirties, and again my two boys who had a blast playing with all of the toys in the house. When they wanted downtime there is wifi for their electronics and satellite TV. I would highly recommend this property to anyone for any kind of vacation...there are plenty of supplies for outdoor enthusiasts (bikes, canoe, paddle boats etc)...family vacations, girl's weekends...just a great property with a great layout and location. We couldn't be happier!"
