  • Oh, so cozy!

"This is the second time we have stayed in this home. It feels so cozy and comfortable, that it makes one feel as if they are in their own home! And, oh so very clean! The furnishings are impeccable and the home is well equipped. It's so very quiet here, and once you step outside the wonders of nature envelope you. We'll for sure stay again!"

  • October weekend

"Birch Lane was a great place. There were 8 people in our group and, for the most part, there was plenty of room. The living room had room for 8 people to visit (needed to move chairs from the dining room table, but it was fine) and the stools from the kitchen counter were moved to the dining room table. The master suite (king bed) has a bathroom, the main floor bathroom on the main floor with two bedrooms (a queen bed in each bedroom), and then the basement bedroom with two twins does not have a bathroom. That was a bit awkward, but is doable. I would recommend this for 6 adults and two kids. The home has a woodsy feel and we really enjoyed the house. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, silverware, glasses (including wine glasses!), pots and pans, and baking pans. The property manager communicated well and I enjoyed working with her. There was really only one negative - it says there is satellite tv, but we couldn't get the college or NFL football games we wanted because the subscription was very limited. We went on a Scenic Trolley tour, shopped, and enjoyed Peninsula Pub."

  • Clean and Comfortable

"Very clean cabin with newer appliances, furniture, and decor. It is easy to feel at home. Other cabins I have stayed at provide kitchen utensils and appliances that are worn out, but I was impressed with the quality of everything in the kitchen. The lake is really ideal for kids. The water is very clear and the bottom is firm sand with a gradual pitch. The on-site boat launch was very convenient, although it might be too shallow to launch larger boats. We caught several northerns and a few crappies. Little boat traffic. The weather wasn't great, so we enjoyed several attractions in Eagle River. The children's science museum is particularly good. We enjoyed the flying squirrel dropping acorns at us at night while sitting around the camp fire. We hope to return next year!"
