  • Winter Escape

"The chalet was the perfect location for our winter get-away. The house is well equiped, comfortable, and very user friendly. The setting is beautiful. We are grateful that our dogs were welcome. We left refreshed and relaxed."

  • Even better than the pictures!

"We stayed in this lovely home in August, 2014 and loved everything about it. We are a group of four couples and everyone was happy with their bedrooms and we all enjoyed the house. The short walk to the water was great for watching the sunsets. We have been renting houses on VRBO for the last 18 years and this is by far the cleanest house that we have even stayed in. Often the pictures makes the homes look better than they actually are but I think this house looks even better than its pictures. We like staying in Ellison Bay because it is still close to everything but you don't have to fight the traffic like you do in some of the Door County towns."

  • My favorite place

"I've spent 1-2 weeks every summer here for the past 25 years (give or take). When I close my eyes and imagine my favorite peaceful spot in the world, I am sitting on the beach at Red Feather, listening to the lapping water and soaking up the warm sun. It is a perfect place for families to spend quality time together - away from the distractions of modern day life. The site is beautiful and the management is great. We spend our time swimming, fishing, sailing, boating, catching crayfish and toads, building sand castles, watching stars, and walking in the woods. Rest Lake is gorgeous and connects to a chain of beautiful lakes. The cabins have plumbing, electricity, full kitchens (fridge, microwave, oven, stove, toaster, coffee maker, etc), screened windows/doors, and basic furnishings. Bring your own towels and sheets. There are no TVs - which is perfect for this place. There are two beaches for the resort and multiple docks. The resort has row boats, paddle boats, and a canoe free for your use. The beach has plenty of lounge chairs and an outdoor grill. There is a nice path through the woods that starts at the cabins. The resort is very close to the new paved bike trail. It is a short drive to many fun activities - including waterfalls, hiking, canoeing/kayaking, biking, go-karting, horseback riding, Wildwoods Wildlife park, a ski show, Bingo night, and rummage sales. It is a 10 min drive to the grocery store and 15 min to the library."
