"This is our second year and it was another great time. The beach and pier are wonderful to spend the day/eve around. The kitchen has been redone and looks great. Our dog was so excited to return he started whining as we pulled into the drive - then ran straight into the water where he could be found when outside. It is so peaceful and private which is very relaxing. We met a nice neighbor that gave us fishing tips - maybe next year we'll catch the big one!"

"This cabin was comfy and spotless. The beds are new and the linens crisp. We enjoyed the wraparound deck and the fully-appointed kitchen. The eagles are amazing (6 overhead at one time). The lake is very shallow and a sunset paddle (we brought our own kayak) was delightful. There was a minor issue with a noisy water pump but the caretaker came right away and took care of it. The owner and manager are very pleasant and easy to work with."

"Our group stayed here for a long weekend and couldn't have been happier with the accommodation. We were two couples in 50s and early 60s along with our mother and an adult niece. The master bedroom was enormous and the 2nd and 3rd bedroom were very comfortable. The main living level on the top floor was wonderful with very open design and a beautiful fireplace and windows overlooking the town and water in the distance. I would definitely stay here again!"

"Me and my family; my wife, 11 year-old daughter and 7 month year-old daughter, all traveled to Wisconsin from Southern Illinois to be on the beach on the waters of Lake Michigan for a week during the middle of July. It was 95 at home with a heat index of 105 and the high for the entire week in Jacksonport was 73. Loved it!
This cottage was great for our needs. It was right on the beach (30 yards) with a beautiful view of the water from the kitchen and living area. Made it easy to let our daughter play on the beach without constant supervision. Loved burning fires almost every night. The wood and rock pit (also on the beach) were included in our stay. Needed it, since a couple nights the low was 55...in July!
Close to everything. Our longest drive was 30 minutes. We were 15 from Egg Harbor, 30 from Sturgeon Bay, 10 from Bailey's Harbor, etc.
The highlights of our stay were: The Renard's Cheese factory and tour, our fishing charter with Hooked-Up Charters (we caught TONS of fish and left Wisconsin with over 100 lbs in Salmon fillets), and the Dairy View Country store (also 15 min. away).
The price is reasonable, the beach is great (albeit fairly cold water even in July. Don't worry, the west side of the peninsula, towards Green Bay, was 10 or so degrees warmer on average and only 15 min. away at Egg Harbor), the fires were awesome, and the inside was nice. Looked at the Michigan side of the lake, but prices were higher and sights were further away. Also, we really wanted to do the fishing charter and couldn't be happier with that choice!"
