"We've stayed at many places up here, but could never find the perfect place that could give us everything we needed and fit our large group. But with Jim's Hideaway we finally found it! Everything was great! House was big, beach was perfect for the kids, and fishing was so much fun! With the paddleboats, canoe, and boat, everyone could get out on the lake. And the owners are so helpful and nice, which makes all the difference. We already can't wait to come back next year. Thanks so much!!"

"My husband and I rented the 1930s log cabin for a family vacation, including our young adult children and their significant others, ages 17-30. We wanted to spend time together and have a scenic place on the water to hang out and this was a great property to do so! We truly appreciated being able to bring our little dog, too! The cabin has a great room feeling with a lot of space and charm; the 7 of us were comfortable. We used the boats every day--pontoon, fishing boat, and canoes--what a bonus! The Manitowish lake chain is gorgeous, clear water, good fishing, and not crowded! We have been to Eagle River, Minocqua and St Germain and this location is our favorite! We prepared almost all of our own meals at the cabin, used the BBQ grill, fireplace, played board games, read books, and enjoyed seeing/hearing all the wildlife including eagles and loons. We did some shopping in town, including getting ice cream, coffee shop, and went to Little Bohemia one night for dinner/fish fry. Patience and Charlie, the owners, live next door and are available if you need anything and are gracious hosts. We loved it!"

"Completely satisfying and worth the price. The accommodations were charming and tastefully decorated -- although not everyone would enjoy the Victorian motif and the tub in the middle of the living room. The kitchen was small but fairly well stocked. It's a shame that a washer/dryer couldn't have been squeezed in somewhere.
Conveniently located and easy walking distance to many nice shops and restaurants.
The porch was very nice, though the view was not the water as you would be led to believe from the pictures. The view is a municipal parking garage.
A word about Sturgeon Bay: while this is a charming town, we found more going on in Fish Creek and Egg Harbor. Having said that, being removed from the crowds is a nice treat since parking is way better."

"Large/clean upper portion of the house. More space than we needed. Everything was exactly as described in the advertisement of the property/no surprises. We would recommend this property for others, the only thing that would make this place better is being on the lake. The large pond across the street with the eagles is very nice."
