  • Loved it.

"I'm really late giving this review. My wife and I rented this cabin for our Anniversary last September. I was having a lot of stress at work and The Little Dipper was a perfect place to unwind. The view at sundown was great. We had eagles and loons around the cabin the entire week. Nothing like loons calling in the evening. The owner went out of her way to make arrangements for use the pontoon boat even though it was rented out for the entire month. I managed to catch a few smallies and walleyes. Of course there was the one that got away, a smallmouth that would have easily tipped the scales over 5 lbs. We also brought our dog and she had a great time hanging out and riding on the pontoon boat. I always appreciate owners that are pet friendly. The Little Dipper is off the beaten path and away from city lights so the night sky there was fabulous. There are a number of other lakes in the area, plenty of hiking trails, and great scenic drives. If you decide to stay make sure to check out Vinchi's for great Italian food. We had a great time!"

  • Beautiful Cottage in the Woods

"We enjoyed our stay here tremendously! My boys, ages 5 and 8 had so much fun too. House was very clean with plenty of linens. Beds were comfortable and kitchens and baths well stocked with necessities. We had fires both outdoors at the fire pit and indoors at the beautiful stone fireplace. Plenty of wildlife to see too! It was a short drive to other Door County towns where we enjoyed festivals, shops, restaurants and state parks. We would definitely stay again! Oh, the Ping pong table was a big hit with my boys and my husband!"

  • Great family retreat! You will not want to leave!

"We stayed here for a week with our 7-year-old twins and were delighted with everything about the condo, grounds and convenient location in Door County! This condo is literally steps away from the awesome clubhouse with beautiful indoor and outdoor pools (including a separate kiddie pool), whirlpool, playground, and tennis courts. Pool float toys are allowed, so bring them with if you have kids! The condo itself is very spacious with a fully-appointed kitchen with everything you need to enjoy meals at "home." Be sure to stop at the many farm markets on your way and stock up on treats to enjoy during your stay. The master bedroom has an incredibly comfortable, squishy King-sized bed (not great for people with bad backs, though), Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom and a walk-in closet. The kids enjoyed the bunk beds (single on top, double on bottom) and having their own bathroom. When we weren't at the condo, we enjoyed hiking at Peninsula State Park (the 2-mile Eagle Trail is great for kids age 7+); renting tag-a-long bikes and riding the 9.7-mile Sunset Trail in Peninsula State Park; day-tripping to Cana Island Lighthouse; enjoying a beach day at Whitefish Dunes State Park and walking at the adjacent Cove Point County Park; and enjoying meals at local restaurants including the Cherry-Stuffed French Toast at the White Gull Inn (a must!), pizza at the Wild Tomato, and dinner at the Gibratar Grill (free lawn games and music!). We plan to return to this condo and Door County next summer for another amazing week. The owners are great to work with and you will be delighted with your stay here!"

  • This is a gem!

"What a lovely surprise...clean, charming and even better than the pictures. The owner made us feel like personal guests. Hiking on the Shivering Sands Land Trust is right there. Beach is so private and accessible. We loved dining at the Glidden Lodge down the road. We'll be back!"
