  • A quiet outdoor retreat...a true get-away

"We enjoyed this quiet, well-maintained home for 4 days in July. We enjoyed the great outdoors during our stay...fishing, catching frogs, walks, campfires and created a nice size list of all the wildlife we saw during our stay. Our group included from age 7 to 60, yet everyone stayed "busy" as they wished and definitely relaxed. There is not swimming right off the shore, but we enjoyed some swimming time at a nearby lake for a day. The fire pit is right by the road, but this road is so quiet...I think we only saw/heard one car on it the whole time we were there. The home is very nice, clean and up to date. The owners are friendly and great to work with. Thank you helping us get in a little cottage get away this summer, needed and enjoyed by all!"

  • Unforgettable vacation

"This home is luxurious and spacious. Right on the lake and swimming off the dock is great. No weeds and sandy bottom. Shallow enough even for small children to enjoy with no problems. The house is fantastic. Makes you feel right at home. Location is great, too. A short drive will get you anywhere around Minocqua that you would want to go. All in all I would recommend this cabin and would definitely stay here again."

  • Quaint Cottage with lovely views

"This cottage is quaint - I loved the vaulted ceiling, old stone fireplace, knotty pine cabinets and antique shiny hardwood flooring. There are great fall colors to be seen on walks along the beautiful Lake Michigan shoreline. It's only four hours from Chicago and that makes it a convenient get-away. I'll definitely be back in 2015! The owners answered many questions and told us about 2015 updates to the property that are already in the works."

  • Door County Cottage

"Returning to Door County for the annual Scottie rally, we picked Java Hut as our base from which to enjoy our stay and we were absolutely delighted. The cottage had more than enough space with 2 beds and 2 baths, a well stocked kitchen, and a very comfortable living area. The washer/dryer was really a bonus. We loved breakfast every morning at the Blue Horse Café with its front row seat on Fish Creek Beach. (We watch for the FB posts counting the days till next May) Java Hut is centrally located in the village and easy walking distance to most restaurants and shops. Fish Creek itself is a nice spot from which to explore the rest of Door County as well. Carina, the owner was terrific to help us with anything and yes, we're already booked for next year."
