  • Great Family Vacation

"LOVED THIS PLACE.... We had a wonderful time. The cabin is very spacious and Rest Lake is a great body of water. Fishing was great, we even have a video of an Eagle catching a fish. Everything you need is there, you are so close to the town of Manitowish Waters. (the town pretty much closes down at 8pm so if you need something make sure you go before 8) I almost don't want to give it such a great review so we can keep this place to ourselves. The boathouse roof was the perfect spot for morning coffee and the swimming area by the dock is very sandy. It was very cool in the evenings when we were there so we were able to take full advantage of the beautiful fireplace. Thanks for such a great place!"

  • Wonderful place for a relaxing getaway.

"We really enjoyed our time at the Bass Lake "Garatage". There is nothing like mornings, sunsets, and clear nights in the North Woods. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. We used the rowboat for trips around the lake to watch the loons, eagles, and other wildlife, as well as some fishing, and also did a short trip around the lake in the Kayaks. If you like swimming, the water was very warm, the sand was soft, and the raft was close enough for anyone to get to. Fishing was also good, with abundant panfish (a worm on a jig from the dock will land you a sunfish on almost every cast, and there are also bluegill, perch, and crappie), northern pike, and some really nice largemouth bass. The lake, for the most part, was fairly quiet, despite the number of cottages on the lake (two boats and jet skis were the max at one time - but usually the lake had a couple folks fishing and maybe one water-skier or rafter - at least when we were around.) Eagle River was close, as were other fun locations that would accommodate most interests. Would highly recommend it."

  • Perfect Get Away!

"My wife and I stayed in the Kayaker's Cabin for our fifth anniversary weekend. It was perfect. Comfy, cozy, and just right. Everything we wanted, and more. Along with all the interior amenities, we also took advantage of the fire pit and grill. It was a piece of cake to get everywhere with ease. We packed as much of the island in as possible. We hiked a bunch, did all the touristy things, went for a beautiful run right out the door, went exploring Rock Island in the rain, and sampled every watering hole they would let us into. Our favorite was Fiddler's Green, quite possibly my new favorite funky place in the world. We attempted to drink them dry, and their Saturday night 'supper club' sockeye salmon meal was fantastic, served right along side their very entertaining jamming musicians. The owner/client interaction was flawless, prompt, helpful, and entertaining. We even stopped in at their Door County Sunglass Company in Fish Creek on the way up, to take advantage of their generous coupon. I got a new pair of Oakley's, and my wife picked up some sweet Costa del Mar's...just when I thought she couldn't get any hotter! We can't wait to go back next summer with our daughter. We're looking forward to making it an annual trip, next time with our road bikes. I would highly recommend the property for anybody looking to enjoy Washington Island and all the fun it has to offer."

  • Beautiful condo with gorgeous views!

"This was our first time visiting door county and didn't know what to expect. This condo's location and amenities exceeded our highest expectations. We watched the sunset over the water from the deck almost every night. The renovated condo is very tasteful and comfortable and made our stay very pleasant. We also loved the pool -- our son couldn't get enough of it. The condo neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful, yet only a short drive/walk to all of the stores/restaurants and activities. Having no internet in the condo also helped us focus on relaxing (instead of checking in on work email!). It was our best vacation yet!"
