  • Wouldn't Be Summer Without Lake Rest Cabins

"We just spent our 6th year in the Loon's Lodge at Lake Rest Cabins. Our yearly visit to Lake Rest Cabins is now a family tradition with our two adult children and their growing families when they can join us. The Loon's Lodge easily accommodates 3 generations under one roof, but is still cozy even when it's just my husband and I. Linda and Ken are the perfect hosts, the cabin is perfect with personal touches, and Little Spider Lake is perfect with not being busy or crowded with too many speed boats zooming around. Retreating to Lake Rest Cabins is the perfect way to relax and rejuvenate. Can't wait for next year! It just wouldn't be summer without our yearly visit to Lake Rest Cabins!"

  • AJ's Pine Crest Hideaway

"We spent Labor Day weekend at AJ's Pine Crest Hideaway! The owners were wonderful to work with and answered all our questions prior to our arrival. The home is beautiful - just as described and shown in the photos - very spacious and comfortable. We loved the gas fireplace in the great room when the rain and cooler weather brought us inside. The lake front is gorgeous with private pier. We spend both our evenings around the fire pit (lake side). Plenty of fire wood was provided for evening fires, as was a charcoal grill (we enjoyed home cooked meals for ourselves rather than eating out). If you're looking for a beautiful place in the north woods - with gorgeous lake side view and all the modern conveniences of home - AJ's Pine Crest Hideaway is the place for you!"

  • More than Expected

"This cabin was everything described and more. Our family was looking for seclusion, yet with two daughters ages 9 and 11 we also wanted to be near recreational activities. The location of this cabin was perfect. It is a beautiful bike ride to Boulder Junction on Old County K Road and the nearby lakes offered canoeing, swimming and fishing. Although there was plenty to do around the cabin it was just a short drive to miniature golfing and horseback riding. We stayed for five days and felt like we could have stayed another week. The cabin was comfortable, immaculate and updated. As soon as we pulled up we were so excited to see that the real thing was even better than the listing photos. We had no problems instantly relaxing. We could toss around the frisbee in the yard and the rope swing was an added bonus. I would definitely recommend this cabin to family and friends. In fact, we already have."

  • Beautiful location, spacious property

"Our family reunion included fifteen people aged 8-82. We had plenty of bedding and nice mattresses. Multiple ovens and two refrigerators made cooking easy. All the groceries we needed were available in a medium sized Tomahawk grocery, ten minutes away. Appliances were modern and the cabin layout was family friendly. The younger kids enjoyed making a blanket fort in the loft area, where they could spy on the kitchen and living room activities. The teenagers had space of their own. We enjoyed the piano and guitar, which are unexpected pleasures in a rental cabin. We played pool, ping pong, and card games indoors. There were three large dining areas, easily accommodating kid meals, adult meals, and card games. The large porch was four season with views of the lake. The property is nicely removed from the highway and neighboring properties. We enjoyed campfires in the fire pit and games like soccer and capture the flag in multiple large fields surrounding the house. Three kids caught walleye in the lake and many of us took canoes to observe an eagle's nest nearby. We all had a lovely time and wished we could stay another week."
