  • Summer 2012 !!

"Hi- we rented a cabin at this resort in summer 2012. We loved the cabin we had as it was one building divided into 2 cabins. We rented the entire thing and it worked out great! We loved that we were able to leave our boat on the dock for the week. It's necessary to note that the body of water that makes up Lake Alice has a lot of stumps. We were not hindered from our water activities due to the stumps - but they did cause some stress as we were worried about hitting them. Tomahawk is a sweet little town. In the summer there is a ski show that showcases local talent - very fun! We did a few day trips around to other areas too as they are not too far away. We loved the location of the cabin as it was easy to get to and very quiet and relaxing at night. Everyone in the area was very respectful which made it very enjoyable! They had a really nice fire ring and lounge furniture next to the lake! Super fun! Last but not least - the owner baked chocolate chip cookies and brought the to us when they were still warm! Great experience - lots of fun!!!"

  • Pam and Earl Sjogren

"This lake home was much more than we expected - it was great! Very roomy and well equipped with everything we could have imagined. Very clean with well kept. We loved the yard with the fire pit...everything was absolutely wonderful. I would recommend this property to anyone and will keep it in mind if we are ever in the area again. Thank you so much. • Can't wait to come back for another week.

"We spent our vacation this year at this wonderful cabin. Our stay was the last week of July 2014. We had 4 people and it was perfect. The cabin could easily accommodate more people. The pictures here are very nice but honestly they don’t do the cabin and outdoor area justice. It was exactly as stated and we would highly recommend this property. We loved that it is nestled in the middle of 6 gorgeous wooded acres. The wrap around porch is beautiful and we spent time each morning sitting on it just soaking up the peace and quiet. You can literally hear the dew falling off the trees. The air is fresh and clean and the temps perfect since the lake is so close. We loved watching the squirrels and birds also. Both love to make their appearance on the porch. Pretty wild flowers attract butterflies and it’s pretty easy to feel you have gotten away from work, traffic and all the other distractions of daily life. When I saw the rocking chairs on the porch I just knew we had picked the right place!! Also loved the bonfire pit and the outdoor patio. For us this atmosphere was exactly what we wanted. We brought plenty of books, games and a puzzle to spend time on but we hardly touched them. Never watched a movie or thought to turn the TV on, we were far too busy each day and never even got to explore all we wanted during the week. We went hiking, rented bikes, toured the lighthouse, walked on the beaches, shopped at Fish Creek, went to Cave Point, tried the local restaurants, went cherry picking, took in the side walk sales and were lucky enough to have the county fair in Sturgeon Bay the week we were there. We enjoyed every minute. The owner was wonderful and so helpful. We hope to stay a week next summer as well to do all the things we didn’t have time to fit in. Highly recommended."

  • Most Excellent Celebration

"We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary. The description was spot on and the photos gave us a wonderful idea of what was ahead. The home was beautifully appointed, and when we arrived some of the crew was still there to let us in. It was on the quiet side of Door County--just what we were looking for. You can't go wrong booking this property, it was great. Be sure to eat at Johnson's in Ephraim and get your dessert down the street at Wilson's Ice Cream (Yummy). Go to Washington Island on the Ferry and take the Cherry Train for a tour--great value and no walking--Yeah! Exploring the whole of Door County was a wonderful adventure for us and our family. We hope to go back for next year's anniversary. :)"
