"For those who like the quiet side, this part of Door County is perfect, and this cottage met our needs completely. Quiet should NOT be interpreted as dull, however.
*Great location - meaning a 5 minute walk to the ferry dock for the trip to Washington Island. Also, an easy drive to nearby state park and bluffs overlooks. Other attractions, such as Cana Island Lighthouse, an easy drive. The Maritime Museum just down the road from the cottage is a real treasure; take time to talk to the most knowledgeable young man who was there at the time we visited. Having stopped the day before at the maritime museum in Manitowoc, we were dubious about a small museum. But we were very wrong.
*Everything we needed to prepare meals. Try the fish from the market by the ferry dock!
*With such scenery and such sunsets, never noticed the lack of TV! However, we did have a portable radio and enjoyed Wisconsin Public Radio!
*Owner was quite solicitous, easy to work with when we made last minute plans, and very cordial. We felt completely at home and relaxed.
*We would definitely return; would love to see this country in the autumn especially and can imagine that winter is spectacular.
*Kayakers might appreciate the launches around. Also a good place for biking or hiking.
We have used VRBO previously and have been pleased. This cottage continues that tradition!
Thanks for a great visit."

"The upkeep on the Chalet we stayed in was fantastic. The size is perfect! The privacy is priceless, as well as the access to the outdoors for boating, bonfire, kayaking, ect.! My husband and I have very time consuming jobs and work long hours, so when we wanted to get away, we couldn't have chosen a more perfect place! We are definitely spreading the word about how nice and CHEAP it was! One of my favorite parts of the Chalet, was not only did it come with a boat, have a washer/dryer so we didn't have catch up laundry when we got home, but was the fireplace inside and the lights on the outside! Simply priceless!"

"Our stay was awesome. Tom greeted us as we arrived and made us all feel welcomed. The cottage was clean, had everything you could need, and was very comfortable. The property was very well maintained. White Lake was beautiful and our teenage kids loved the kayak and peddle boat, which they used to explore around the entire lake. Our dog that was not a fan of water when we first arrived became virtually impossible to keep out of the water by the time we left. The fishing was decent, even though our week was filled with rain and storms. We also loved that we were on the ATV trails...super convenient.
We were all sad to see our vacation come to an end. Our week was filled with relaxation on the deck and dock , fishing, swimming, ATVing, and exploring the lake. This little cottage is truly a little piece of Heaven. Thank-you Tom and Shelly for sharing your cottage with my family."
