"We stayed here, recently, for my sister's bachelorette weekend getaway. The house was perfect for our group, with plenty of beds and lots of spaces to gather as a group. Beyond that, it is an aesthetically impressive house, filled with art and character. Since the weather wasn't at its best, we spent a lot of time inside, but could still appreciate the sights and sounds of the lake. It was also conveniently close to a handful of wineries, which we didn't mind at all! Thank you for a most enjoyable experience!"

"This house was really nice. We went with our family on my husbands side for the long Memorial weekend. My husband and I and our 2 daughters 1 & 4 years old. My brother and sister in law and their 5 month old baby. My other brother and sister in law and their 2 daughters 11 & 14. My husbands parents in their 70s. The house is directly on the lake with a beautiful view. Ample space for everyone to spread out or gather. Loved cooking in the fully equipped and stocked Kitchen. Very close to activities.
The basketball hoop, and outdoor space is great. There was tons of nets out and that was a downfall. Not sure if they just come with the lake or if the grass could be treated? There is a hot tub on the screened in porch that is not advertised so we were surprised it was there and then discovered it was empty and could not be used. That was sad. The owners explained why and it totally makes sense with liability and maintenance but if felt like candy dangled in front of your face that you couldn't eat.
We did some winery tours and went to the state park, out to dinner at Shipwreck and lunch at the Cookery. The Door 44 and Stonesthrow wineries were a disappointment. Door 44 wines were too fruity for most of our liking and Stonesthrow said our group of 6 could taste together because we didn't have a reservation and was rude about it. Peninsula did a good job of being welcoming and had a wider selection of wines.
The house had everything you needed for a good getaway. The set up is perfect for blending a big group, aside from the bugs and the hot tub my only other complaint is that it was to have 1 king and 3 queens but the bed in the blue room seemed to be a full instead of a queen. Also having to wash all the towels before we left was annoying considering the price of the rental. Small details but overall impressed with this rental. It is much more then a cottage."

"If you want a real relaxing place to go this is the place. We had a wonderful time and plan to return next year. The cabin was great and had about everything you would need. Plenty of things outside for the kids to do they were never bored.( ages 7 to 13) stars were amazing. Enjoyed our trips to town, go cart racing, climbed Eagle Tower and took the ferry to Washington Island, roasting hot dogs and making s'mores in the fire. Great Trip. Highly recommended if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the world. Owners were great to deal with."
