"We took our first family vacation with our adult children. 6 adults, a 3 year old and a 4 1/2 month old. We all had our own lovely space with enough privacy for all of us. We had the boathouse for yoga and hiding from the babies. We had the game room with an unlimited amount of games for all ages. We had the cozy library with gas fireplace for reading. The massive stone fireplace in the main living room was wonderful. The enormous kitchen was wonderful for all of us, and so well stocked with every dish, pots, pans anything we needed. The large farm table accommodated all of us. We used every level of deck when it was nice out. Hung a hammock and was well used. We rented a pontoon for the week, so fishing and many fun Happy Hours on the boat. Loved having access to the washer and dryer especially with small kids. There is not a swimming beach, the steps leading to the dock are many, but very maneuverable when caution is used. Swam in the lake without having a beach, but our granddaughter was so busy running around doing other things, it didn't even occur to her she wasn't swimming. Lots of small towns around and we ate out several times. Toni was wonderful to work with, and has a beautiful property that she shares. Would definately stay again."

  • Big View!!

"SO PEACEFUL!! Loved the updated washer/dryer and other amenities. The bats were a little creepy..but on a good note;they do eat mosquitos :) The deck could use some TLC... but other than that...we had an amazing week! Thanks to Rueben for being so on top of things. Will be using VRBO again. Would stay at this cabin again in a heartbeat. THANK YOU"

  • Bayfield vacation

"I don't think I could have found any other accommodations that included a free kayak trip with our personal guide, who made the trip so much fun. He took us right into the sea caves, it was awesome. We also had use of four nice mountain bikes which we drove to the fish hatchery and around Bayfield. The cabin was very clean, well equipped, and had comfortable beds. We had a great time in Bayfield and plan to come back again, but next time we'll bring our boat so we can see all the islands. This trip we only saw Madeline Island by taking the car over by ferry. We recommend having the fish chowder and mussels in cream sauce at the Pub on Madeline Island. Wow, was it good. A lot of good restaurants in Bayfield, as well. Before we left town we picked fresh, organic raspberries. did wine tasting at the Bayfield Winery (and bought several bottles because it was so good), bought fresh white fish and a couple of freshly made pies. A really terrific family vacation."

  • Wonderful cabin

"Beautiful cabin! The pictures can't describe how nice this cabin is. Very private setting with all the essentials of home. The cleanest cabin we have ever rented at any price. A lot of detail went into this cabin, especially the wrap around deck with beautiful full view of Rosa Lake. Three nice sized bedrooms including 1 room with access to the deck and wonderful lake views. The fire pit was huge with space for large families. The property is surrounded by forest and lots of wildlife right at your door including 2 loons who love to follow you around the lake. A fishing boat is included in your stay and that makes things easy for families who don't like to haul a boat around. The fishing is top notch. We caught lots of Bluegill 9 to 10 inches and also averaged 3 to 4 pound bass which we caught and released. Cable is a great small town with speciality shops such as a health food store and a year round Christmas shop. Right out of town 2 miles to the south is a bait shop that also sells hand carved sculptures that are less than half of what you would pay anywhere else in Wisconsin. In fact the gentleman carves anything you want and you can watch him working right outside the store. The restaurants in Cable range from cafe's to supper clubs. 10 miles away is Seeley and they have a great place to eat Called Moose Lips. If you like homemade pizza you wont be dissapointed. A nice touch was the local grocery store which was rather large sized and was very reasonable. If you like to see some sights trips to Hayward only took 20 minutes and Ashland was only 40 minutes away if you would like to see Lake Superior. If you like hiking Morgan falls is only a short drive away and has a spectacular waterfall. You won't be disappointed in this rental. Top notch owners who will help you with any of your needs."
