"The place was sooo much more then what I expected. I have not stayed in a rented house before but this made our trip, I did not realize how comfortable I would be.
I caught ton's of perch, seen lots of wild life including a very large snapping turtle that appeared from under the water deck, loved the paddle boat. The trip started out by finding a 5 leaf clover, wildlife abundance (from the nightly deer, to hundreds of frogs and even a bear (not on the property but on the road exiting the property) and an eagle too.
The house was well equipped with marsh mellow sticks, laundry detergent, grilling equipment with coal and lighter fluid. I had brought several fishing poles but once again there was an abundance of poles already there too. A wonderful abundance of firewood for the fireplace (both inside and out). Kitchen had all amenities including our forgotten coffee filters for my morning coffee. Beds were very comfy. The place was close enough to the town for food supplies. We used the paddle boat daily, and we also brought a paddle board that we used daily. Our phone service (verizon) worked great on the lake (LOL), on the volleyball court, in the upper bedrooms. Other parts of the house we received 1G and mostly texts came through.
Owner was great to work with! I would say I would have liked WI-FI however; I loved the idea that all of my kids were unplugged !!! And we played lots of games that was also supplied. I had a wonderful time being unplugged, enjoying family time, playing games.
The weather fluctuated from very hot days and very rainy days to chilly evenings. I did not use the AC as the breeze off the lake was enough to cool the house down. Would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone wanting an enjoyable, relaxing place to stay."

"Jacki & Christian, thank you for opening your beautiful log lake home to vacationers. It was absolutely perfect in every way. A place where the rustic Northwood's meet modern day conveniences, coupled with a location on the lake that was postcard perfect.
Our family enjoyed everything your cabin/home offered. We fished daily, played corn-hole (bean bag toss to us older folks...haha), canoed and sat around the bonfire enjoying the starry moonlit evenings, while reminiscing. It was the perfect setting to catch up with our adult daughters and have my elderly, 90 year old father-in-law stroll and take in the beautiful scenery of your lakeside grounds. He was a fisherman in his youth and you could see in his eyes he was remembering those youth-filled days, when we took him out on the water. Your friend Jackie was an absolute sweetheart. And her homemade maple syrup was delicious. Thank you for leaving a bottle of her tasty syrup as a welcoming gift for us to enjoy. We made French toast every morning and Jackie's syrup made it a special treat for the "kids."
Through out the years my wife and I have periodically rented lakeside cabins, but your lake home is, by far,...the best in every way imaginable. I am so happy we discovered it. Thanks again for offering such a special inspiring place, where memories are created.
Tim and Indra"

"Revis was a great communicator and the property was better than expected. You will see in previous reviews that the hill is steep, it is but I chalked it up to exercise for the day. Found a supplier of wood in town and had a fire at the beach every night under the stars. Interesting pieces in the cabin too, someone has a good eye. Thanks again Revis."

"I was looking for somewhere to go with a unique pair of qualities: UBER PEACEFUL and QUIET but also with SPEEDY WIFI. I'm a small business owner and needed to do some strategic planning, creative exploration and completion of online classes, and I knew that I needed to get far from home and the office to do it. But, I had to have consistent access to wifi to review materials, collect ideas, and sift through resources. So happy I found this beautiful spot just 3 hours from home. The seclusion and comforts of the space were exactly what the situation called for, Fred was responsive to my questions as they came up, and I made huge strides in my business planning over the 3 days. I loved how easy the wood stove was to use, and the view was consistently calming. I will definitely be returning to this tranquil spot--if they'll have me!--both for some more solo creative time, and with my little family + dog for relaxation in the woods. What a great place this would be to lie in bed and read a book on a winter's day or to sit at the cosy table and do a jigsaw puzzle!"
