  • World-class getaway w/Northwoods charm

"I've stayed at many VRBO's and this is positively at the top of my list. First of all, the owner is fantastic. Tom was extremely communicative, accommodating & was very hands-on in making sure our stay was top-notch in every sense. Secondly, the accommodations are second to none. The "chalet" is very well thought out and our group of 11 had ample space to spread out. The place has something for all; foosball & air hockey downstairs for the kids, fireplaces for mom to relax by, great kitchen with every imaginable utensil, tool, top end appliances to make your meals, TV's galore (but who needs TV when you're with family & friends) ample parking for our big group with snowmobiles and finally, a beautiful lake view. The place is very nicely appointed, yet has a very natural feel as if your walking into your own place. I would recommend the cottage to families, multiple families or friends looking for a beautiful place to stay & relax. With 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms there's room & privacy for all. Finally, the access to the snowmobile trails, local bars & restaurants make for additional fun if you're looking to get out and about. The place has it all. Four 🌟🌟🌟🌟's. Two 👍👍's up!"

  • God's Special Creation

"While this cabin claims to be one of God's Special Creations, she apparently was too busy creating this fine spot to provide good weather - we had 40's and rain for 3 days. We enjoyed our stay despite the weather - it's all about attitude. The weather gave us plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful inside of this domicile, as well as explore the covered bridges in the nearby national forest, shop in Minocqua and read, read, read. I recommend LOST IN THE WILD from the cabin bookshelf - I read all 225 pages in one day. We found the hosts to be gracious and accommodating, the cabin spotless, the view calming, and the road to the cabin loaded with turkeys! We would stay here again."

  • weekend getaway

"Very nice house, we used it only for a few days for a guys snowmobile event, plenty of room, the only thing we could have used was more t.v's. Would love to come back and take advantage of the lake and outdoor fire pit, would be great for families."

  • Fell in love!

"This home is amazing! It was the perfect setting for a destination wedding in July. The ceremony was on the lawn with the woods and lake as a backdrop. The buffet was on the deck, fireworks were lit off the dock and lanterns were let go over the lake. We danced to the wee hours. Perfection! 12 of us stayed in the home which is spacious yet cozy with plenty of character and charming lux details. We were in awe of the vision that turned a hay barn in Vermont into a luxury home on Madeline. We enjoyed big family breakfasts, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding and being off the grid. A haven indeed. Thank you! Cannot wait for our next visit!"
